A very upmarket 'new kid on the block',

Pros:Trendy,Chic, nice beach, plenty to keep you happy and relaxed
Cons:Expensive
The Bottom Line: It's not cheap, but you definitely get the quality of service and facilities you would expect for your hard earned cash

I have to stress that I never actually stayed overnight at the Prince Maurice (it is so important to stay over to get the true feel of a place) I was visiting with a group of English Travel Agents on a 'fact finding, mission and had an afternoon tour of the hotel with a bit of 'high tea' and returned the following evening for dinner.
The place is pretty impressive. Local style buildings of thatch stone and wood give a warmth and immediacy. Well spread out with a wide beach, pleasant lagoon and a large pool (one of those cleverly designed ones that looks as if it reaches into infinity.
There are 76 Junior and 12 Senior Suites, some on stilts over the Lagoon and some with their own pool. There is a lovely open sided restaurant and my meal there was excellent. I was a little bit bemused during dinner when I got up to use the facilities half way through and was escorted out and back by a very pleasant waitress - I thought for a brief moment she was coming in with me ! That certainly is an extra service I've not come across before.
As soon as you see a German Hotel Manager with a trendy linen suit and sandals, I suppose you can expect a few innovations. In fact I found the staff extremely polite and friendly, but of course this should be expected in a hotel of this quality.
The fact that the hotel is trendy and chic would I suppose in general attract a younger, 'new money' crowd. If it's a more traditional hotel of a similar standard you might be looking for then I would suggest the Royal Palm.
All in all, the Prince Maurice is well at the top end of the market price wise, but you do get value for your cash.
