The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a great sound card under $300, then this is the best card possible for the money.
This the best multi-channel/multimedia sound card available for it's price. This sound card has a fully capable, multimedia card (no need for a sound blaster anymore) AND it has a daughter card that attaches to a break out box that has, 8 inputs, 4 outputs with both S/PDIF COAXIAL and OPTICAL in and outs. The best thing about this card is the price, it's nearly half the price of comparable cards that don't even have the multimedia card as well. If you are lucky, you might find one for around $200 on ebay. If you can't find one on ebay, go to Guillemot.com and call them to ask for a list of their closest distributor's.
