Pros: Action, same great actors, it ain't Shakespeare
Cons: It ain't Shakespeare
The Bottom Line: If you're a fan, you'll love it. If you're expecting something other than what you saw in the first two, avoid it.

| WileEMom's Full Review: Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End |
Yeah yeah, you can read the critics reviews savaging this movie. They snidely bemoan the lack of plot, the endless battle scenes, the swishing swagger of Johnny Depp.
SO WHAT? Who needs a plot. The battle scenes are well staged. And Johnny Depp is... JOHNNY DEPP!!!
My seven year old son loved it, all three hours of it. He waved his fists and bounced up and down during the sword fights. He covered his eyes when Keira Knightly kissed...anyone.
It has a terrific plot. Sort of. The piratical twists and turns and the fact that all the bad guys are sometimes good guys and there aren't really any good guys because they're sometimes bad guys will make it tough if you plan to keep a score sheet. But are you really going to do that??? This movie is all about fun.
All the actors from the previous movies are back. If you loved their characterizations in previous movies, you'll still love them. If you're expecting Shakespeare, get a grip. Of course they're hammy and overacting. The original movie was a dramatization of a ride at Disney World. The over the soap opera swashbuckling is why I loved them in the first two movies.
One word of advice, stay through the credits. All the credits. Really all the credits. Yes, they're endless. I'm not sure if that's a literary device designed to symbolize...well..I can't tell...or it's to reward the fans faithful enough to endure... or it just is what it is...BUT STAY THROUGH THE CREDITS!
