Cons: No cons I can find except SD card song recognition.Small plastic covers easy lost.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this phone to anyone. It's durable and stylish with many capabilities. I'm a proud owner. Price is steep but you can find great cheaper deals on-line.

The LG 8300 is an awesome phone to have. The phone has the ability to play music,take pictures,play video and is also blue-tooth capable. The phone can also take a micro SD card which means you can expand the memory of your phone to hold more photos,videos,and music. With a data cable you can also fix ring-tones and wallpapers. The phone can be used as a personal mp3 player with the addition of a set of headphones or simply listen to your tunes with the phones built in speakers. The screen of the phone is also a good size so that you can read things and play games without hassle or having to squint. Another added bonus is face plates can be added without removing a screw from your phone. They simply clip on your phone so that you can change them as often as you want without any possible damage to your phone. This also allows you to avoid voiding any warranty when you put a face plate on. The only draw back is that light colored face plates don't always look the best because since there is no screw removal the plate does not cover all areas of the phone such as the very top where the phone folds to open and close. This leaves the original color of the phone then your face plate starts right below.
The phone is both stylish and durable. The phone comes complete with many features. V Cast is offered for video and music if you wish to subscribe. I declined that option because it is a bit expensive. The screen and buttons are both of good size for view and use. The phones speakers sound pretty good but I would prefer to have my own set of headphones for the mp3 capability. I have the SD card and have only found a few problems with it. Some of my music is not recognized and they are in the mp3 sound format. I have yet to find out why some of it is kicked out. The antenna is of short length so there is not a huge risk of breaking it off. The phones back light is blue but it does not stay on long and I have my settings changed for it to stay on as long as it will allow. The phone is not terrible to lose calls and normally has a decent signal. The 8300 also seems to have battery life longer than my earlier LG 5200.
Overall I am proud to own this phone. I love the music capability it offers. I also love the ability to change my face plates in seconds flat without worry. I love to customize any and everything I own and this phone makes doing that possible without much hassle. The phone is up to date and stylish. I have not had any tech problems with this phone. I have even taken it swimming of course not in the water but on the bank and used it once I got out of the water. It is very durable. The ringer is loud enough to hear it when it rings. Ring tones can easily be bought for the phone if you want to choose to do so. I have bought a ring tone from one of the companies this phone offered and it was simple to find what I wanted and make the purchase. The phone is fairly easy to figure out how to use and what options you have even without a owners manual. Being I purchased this phone from a third party a manual was something they skipped on giving me but it only took me a few days to understand and know what this phone could do.
All in all this phone is wonderful. It is simple to use and understand. It is durable,trendy,and so very stylish. It comes with many handy and also fun options being equipped with both video and music. V Cast can also be purchased for easy to receive news,weather,and entertainment. This is a phone any trendy or style seeking individual would be glad to own!
