... oh wow, El Norte, I saw this a long time ago with a friend of mine who grew up in El Salvador. I swear, she wept through almost the entire film, both times we watched it together. I remember this being one of the first foreign films that "got to me." After that I made the decision to get my hands on all genre of films, any country, anything. Sure, I have been disappointment but the disappointment usually lies with the US films and not so much with foreign films. Hey, even the Spanish Dracula is better than most of the originals we have here.

I am thrilled to have run across you here at the site. I look forward to more reviews.

Some great choices. Hopefully more will be encouraged to watch the movies you mentioned.
