Very disappointing experiences

When they are good, they are very very good, but when they are bad they are horrid!
I've shopped at Michigan Bulb through their catalog, and their On-line store and there were problems with both venues.
It is a delicious experience to scroll through Michigan Bulb's long list of inventory, and look at the gorgeous pictures of vibrant plants. Their selections are of such a variety that if they were half as good as they claim to be, they would put all other nurseries out of business.
My esoteric tastes keep me coming back again and again for more brutal treatment, and less satisfaction than the previous order.
This year they have outdone themselves with total incompetence. I tried to order some plants on line, and the site wouldn't acknowledge my order. This leaves the buyer wondering if they redo the on line order, will they be ordering a duplicate or did it really fail at the last confirmation page. So I dutifully got up early the next morning to place a telephone call to customer service, on my nickel(no 800 numbers for this smart company). This order was going to be going to a different address from the billing address (they never get that wrong), and I went over that information with the CS representative. We also went over the latest reshipment of the order that didn't grow which was to be sent to our Florida address.
No, don't get ahead of yourself. They didn't mix up the two different orders, they actually thought outside the box. My order to the North, went to an address we stopped using over 4 years ago, instead of to my granddaughter. The replacement order for Florida went to my neighbor.
After you stop laughing, it's not over yet.
I had to call and reorder, and they didn't know how/why the northern address was sent to an address so old that it shouldn't even be in their delivery data base and it wasn't even sent in my granddaughter's name. No one knows how they pulled that address out of the hat.
All this reshipment took us to the time we were scheduled to take a two week vacation. Yep, you guessed, they finally delivered the order while we were on vacation and the bare root plants were dead. (I had told Customer Service about the dates NOT to ship, but they did it anyway).
This sordid tale does go on and on, just as other reviewers previously lamented. Eventually, they gave me a $20 credit.
I'm now at our northern summer home, and discovered the bulbs and other items we ordered and planted last fall have not all come up. I don't think I going to call again to activate their lifetime warranty....which they do honor. It's just not worth the time and energy, all the planting and replanting, telephone calls (on your nickel), and the disappointment that your garden doesn't look like all the beautiful pictures in the catalog or on-line display.
