I Greatly Enjoyed This Series (Reply to this comment)
by the_motleykid
I really, really enjoyed this Speeddemon Production, and I definately agree with the vast majority of your choices -especially the many Prince songs- and would love to put something like this together, but I feel that it would be near impossible to place some songs above/below others. I mean, some songs aren't actually great, but the memory you associate them with is priceless...so with factors like this, my list might be posted by 2034.
Again, loved you Love song list. Sorry about being 2 years late in discovering it.

Radiohead (Reply to this comment)
by SixerMan
Yeah, I agree with you on Radiohead. While they have gotten better artistically with age, I still prefer "Creep" to anything they've released since. As far as it being a love song... that's a tough one. I suppose it does have moments where it could be construed to be a love song, but I consider it to be more of a song of self-hatred.

Honestly, I liked the inclusion of "Creep"...and anyone who says "Careless Whisper" isn't one of the top 10 love songs ever is lying. :)

Ahh, very nice finish!!! I love the George Michael stuff, really wish I had thought to put "Careless Whisper" on my list; "I Can't Make You Love Me" is another Grade A choice. And a long time ago when I was first getting to learn who sings what, "One More Try" was my favorite song.
Wish I could say more, but I better get to work on linking to yours now! Catch ya later!
Love love love love love love (rollercoaster!)

...disagree with you more on the radiohead thing. i thought "creep" was one of their worst songs, and they've only got better with age. however, mad props for including a radiohead song on a love songs list!
the rest of the picks along the way were pretty neato too :)

"Creep"? (Reply to this comment)
by thevoid99
Oh now that was insulting. That is a not a love song. Even when I heard it at 12 years old, I knew it wasn't a love song. It's a song of self-loathing. How in the hell could you call this a love song? "Knives Out" seems more appropriate as far as love songs from Radiohead are concerned.

* With or Without You still gives me chibbers as I call them (chills and shivers).
* I'm tellin' you - The Family version of Nothing Compares 2 U is heads and shoulders above Sinead's.
Much love, Kristina :)

....choices here. I wish that Always & Forever was on the Love Is Forever CD that I just got....it would fit in perfectly and I really like that song.
Great writing and very interesting to read. Make it a great day......kath

See, first it was Tim, and now you. I'm tempted to join the cool-club and do one of these too, but maybe next Valentine's day, as I'm reasonably sure that you two've held down the love-song-awesomeness factor for awhile. Great picks here - and on the rest of the list, at that. "Adore" - incredible choice.
Peace,
Drew
