DELL Dimension 8100 Series- ALL YOU COULD ASK FOR!

Written: Aug 22 '01 (Updated Aug 22 '01)
  • User Rating: Excellent
  • Ease of Use:
  • Quality of Tech Support:
Pros:price, quality, pentium 4, quiet keyboard, easy to use, etc.
Cons:none at all!
The Bottom Line: Dell is the best!*!*!

As most of you know, Dell has become incredibly popular in the past couple of years. I read in Technology Today that Dell is the best computer for it's price. Why spend so much on a computer and not be happy with it? Is what I asked myself, and then found realized that buying a Dell computer would be an easy solution to this problem that many people today face. What, people ask, is so great about the Dell Dimension 8100 Series?

Well, let me start off with saying that I got my Dell a couple of weeks ago. By the second day of having my Dell, I loved it. It came about 3 or 4 days after I ordered it online (which is very easy by the way).

My Dell 8100 has an Intel Pentium 4 with 1.4 GHz. Yes, you can get either 1.4, 1.5, or 1.7 GHz. Of course, the prices go up as the amount of GHz go up. The hard drive is 20 GB.

My monitor is 17", which I love. Now that i have my 17" monitor, everything is so much easier to see from the screen, which is very convient for us "aging adults"! Now that I have this "big screen monitor", when I go to work, I have to strain my eyes looking at my computer. It is such a relief that I dont have to strain my eyes at home anymore!

As many of you have seen from the Dell commercials, they often give out free printers, free scanners, free DVD upgrade, etc. So, if and when you do buy a Dell, buy it during one of these great offers.

One other great thing about the Dell Dimension 8100 Series is that the keyboard is quiet!! No more tap, tap, tap, that you hear at 1 in the morning because your kids are online "chatting" with friends. This makes it convienent for everything. Also, my computer is in the TV room, and as most of you know, it's hard to watch TV when you hear TAP, TAP, TAP because someone else is on the computer!

My only other advice to you is to go out to your local computer store and look at the Dell Dimension 8100 Series OR Go to www.dell.com OR call and order your dell at 1-800-WWW-DELL.
