There are different levels of addressing or not addressing, Stock.
How about the President just saying it's a personal preference that one approves of or not (and have him feel free to state his personal views), and then leave it up the states to determine (and deal with political pressure that's closer to home and more representative)?
I don't see that as not addressing a hot button issue; I see that as the proper way.
But no, he's gotta go and try and get thru a constitutional amendment that will ultimately fail and polarize the country in the process, but also energize his political base.
Disgusting.

Though I do disagree with them on most hot button issues, my beef with the Bush Administration and its operatives isn't that they're against this or that or the other; it's that they use these hot button issues for political gain when it is not necessary for the good of the country. They are playing the right-wing morality card for all it's worth for purely political reasons at the behest of operativesz who DO have a social genda in mind.
Yet in that process they are --interestingly -- driving moderates away (I hope!)even as they energize the hard Christian right.
I really, really don't get it.

Half of his commentary wasn't even formed in complete sentences, which is never a good sign. I won't even go down the road into analyzing why in the world he thinks that Petra is a guy...

Yes, it is correct that I am old, but I can handle Navy boot camp better than a young depressed weasel like you. When will you understand, if every person in a room feels that you are a wimpy snot faced jerk with no balls, then most likely you are a wimpy snot faced jerk with no balls. We are not talking about the opinions of 4 or 5 people here, we are talking about every person that either hears what is on your mind or takes one look at your bizarre mannerisms.
Have these type of issues persisted your whole life? Do you enjoy being other people’s whiping-boy? I notice that you seem to make it a point to be a victim of all of the mean, cruel and insensitive people in this world. The whole entire Navel Academy are a bunch of mean racists and the whole community of Epinions.com are idiots that can’t understand your righteousness? I think you should stop wasting your time attempting to change every person that you talk to, attempting to force all of mankind to think like you and be a pussy like you. You should begin to look in the mirror and face that you need an entire rebuilding of what goes on in that scull of yours.
You have written over 200 rambling lunatic reviews that have gotten mixed reactions, but in the end, the consensuses is that you are strange and unlikable. How do you float around this site for over two years writing review after review and you can only find four people willing to put you on their WOT… That is amazing. If people want to be gay and want to be like the rest of society and pay too much for their reception and divorce lawyers, they should have the opportunity to do so.
