About the Captain America movie. An Italian Red Skull? What a waste that film was. Almost as bad as the Fantastic Four film that was so bad Marvel bought the rights back. I don't think it ever ran in theaters.

Great review!

No, I don't think I've seen those two. So I went to track down the titles: Belly of the Beast and Out For A Kill are the two I've recently seen. And they are pretty bad. I mean, it's cool watching Seagal beat the hell out of people, but at some point you find yourself desiring some kind of plot.

Thank you for the comment, sonicexplorer. As for avoiding these movies, don't worry. I only heard of some of them from terrible movie sites myself, and had to hunt them down - your odds of running across most of these randomly are pretty low.

As for terrible Seagal movies in recent years, you are probably refering to The Patriot or Ticker or one of the three he made in 2003. (ARGH!)

Most of these movies I haven't seen, and thanks for warning me away from them.

The first few Seagal movies were good, but then they started going downhill fast. Actually there have been a couple in the last few years that are much worse than On Deadly Ground, but I can't recall the titles.

Agree with you on Highlander 2: The Sickening -- a cinematic atrocity if ever there was one.

Perhaps I did exaggerate a little there. But can you blame me for being a little unhinged after seeing all these movies? ; )

Up yours with something hard, sharp, and sufficiently phallic.

I was just running out of very clever come backs blatantly stolen from other people.. Now you've given me a new one!

Thank you!

"I Stand Alone" sounds absolutely grotesque! Thanks for the warning.

Welcome!

As for "Highlander 2", I must say despite the fact that you're right about the flaws you picked out, I found it thoroughly entertaining regardless. Or maybe it was just my crush on Virginia Madsen

No problem...these lists are always totally subjective anyway. If you somehow found Highlander 2 entertaining (Virginia Madsen or not, I'm not even going to begin to ask how - I couldn't watch it without wanting it to die painfully), then good for you...you're probably enjoying a higher percentage of all the creative works ever made than I am.

Some good points there, Ander.

Sigh. Honestly I haven't seen most of the films on your list and kinda didn't exactly totally dislike Captain America.

Feel free to replace it with Pyun's Nemesis 4, then. Actually, thinking about it now, that probably deserved the spot more than Captain America, but I'm going to be reviewing it in the near future, so either way. As for not seeing most of the films on this list, I of course envy you.

I am not entirely sure whether I watched the Segal flick. His films have mostly melded together in my mind quite a bit but I don't think I actually caught that one.

Yeah, they'll do that. If you've seen a couple Seagal flicks, you've pretty much seen them all. On Deadly Ground is unquestionably the worst I've seen yet...though that might change, as I know that Albert Pyun directed a Seagal movie himself (!) in 2001. ;)

I mean you could get *seriously* low budget with it all and I could point out a bunch of student films I watched to add to a list:P

I can understand how you might see that allowing b-movies makes it kind of a slippery slope now, and I don't doubt that you certainly could find worse 90's movies than SOME of the ones I listed (others I listed, of course, I don't think you will outdo no matter what you find, but you can probably guess which ones they are).

Naturally, this list can only reflect the abominations I'm personally familiar with (which is why Nukie (1993) wasn't there - I hear such horrific things about it, enough that it almost certainly deserves a place on this list, but I never found a copy...). If you're up to a "worst student films ever" list, though, I'd enjoy seeing that. ;)

Given that one of the films you list doesn't actually exist, you should have therefore found room for Adrenaline: Fear the Rush :D.

Sigh. Honestly I haven't seen most of the films on your list and kinda didn't exactly totally dislike Captain America. Granted it was most just there but the only real serious problem I had was at the very end.

I am not entirely sure whether I watched the Segal flick. His films have mostly melded together in my mind quite a bit but I don't think I actually caught that one.

The rest of it all... Well... Hmm...

There is a bit of a reason why people don't include a lot of 'B' movies on their worst of lists. Being bad is frequently the rule (rather than the exception) so that finding a good film in the dollar bin is an excercise in pulling teeth at times. *grin* I mean you could get *seriously* low budget with it all and I could point out a bunch of student films I watched to add to a list:P

:) Aside from that though, you could include gems like Bloodsport IV: The Dark Kumite, Guilty as Charged or... Geeze, a lot of crappy, crappy films that I have in my video collection (er... Yeah yeah yeah I have been known to frequent the dollar bin).

Ummmmm... I agree about The Doom Generation too :)
