The Bottom Line These people have made my Top 10...

Well, well, well, another day, another write-off. OK, I think after this one, I am going to take a hiatus from entering write-offs because pretty soon they are all going to mesh together and lose their face value.

Happy eBirthday to Candice923. She’s four days older than I am (here on Epinions that is) and in honor of her 4th eBirthday and 500th review, she’s hosting a Superlative write-off (please join). At first I was apprehensive about doing it because I’d been away so long and didn’t really know anyone. What was I going to say?

We never had any of these categories in my high school, so this was quite a challenge. I hope I don’t offend anyone, but I’ve based my categories on ways these writers have made me feel. So, in no particular order, here are my choices.

Most Likely to be "Voted Off" Epinions

If the powers that be could, I’m sure they would eliminate Jim from Epinions. His "I’m gonna say what I have to say and I don’t give a crap what you think" attitude has definitely raised some little hairs on many necks here on Epinions. I love his writing because he says it as it is. As much as the powers that be would love to get rid of him, they know the tongue-lashing they would get from many of his admirers. For that, I tip my hat to you, Jim. Keep doing what you’re doing.

Best "Dear Abby"

I love Mimi. I’ve gotten to know her over the past few months and she is an amazing woman. She’s the type of person who will go out of her way to help a friend and has no problems sharing some of her life with the rest of us. I’ve been able to talk to her about certain things in my life that she’s been through and she’s helped me more than she realizes. She’s the type of person who you can call at 3 in the morning bawling your head off and she’d listen to you. I think she’s awesome and would love to meet her someday.

Best "Florence Nightingale" of Today

Savannah is a remarkable woman. I love the fact that she’s taking care of her grandma and she’s even invited us into her world. She’s one of the newer members to Epinions and she’s pretty well known throughout the community. She’s got her own "Epinion Writer of the Week" poll that she started not too long ago and I think it’s a great way to recognize great writers. I love how each and every review she writes has "Savannah Smiling :o)" at the end, and she even puts them in her e-mails. I think she’s cool.

Most Likely to Work for Billboard Magazine

If you haven’t read one of Ron’s music reviews, you are missing out on some great writing. Where does he come up with all this information? I’m not sure if he’s written anything on products, but he seems to be real happy with giving us great history lessons on many great musicians. I’m always amazed at all the information he provides in his "lessons" (I can’t even call them reviews). He’d been gone for a little bit, but I’m glad that he’s back.

Most Likely to be your Campaign Manager
Candice923
Ever since I came back to Epinions, Candice has pushed me to write more reviews. Not only that, but she’d be very encouraging and give me hope in that one day I would get a hat. I could just see it now – Candice starting a picket line to get me a hat on Epinions. I love her determination and drive. It’s one of the things that always keeps my spirits up. It’s also good to know there are people out there who truly believe in you.

Biggest Cheerleader

You can always count on Teri to be one of the first writers to rate your reviews. She’s got a lot of heart and she’s definitely the type of person who seems to care a lot about everyone. I’ve never met her, but I can just picture her in front of her computer reading a review with a big smile on her face. She hasn’t written in a while, but she is definitely out there supporting us all. She’s the type of person you would see in the crowd giving you a thumbs up when you’re feeling down. After seeing her, you can’t help but be happy. Thanks, Teri for being you.

Most Like to Push My Buttons

The first time I "met" Mark was on one of my movie comments. I thought, "Oh no he didn't go there. This guy has got to be kidding me." I had the head going and the arm swinging back and forth - I went ghetto in front of my computer over a comment. It was pretty trivial, but, with me, I get on the defensive very quickly. But then, he kept coming back and reading my stuff. Then he started to grow on me. He’s like an older brother, you know the type that would push your buttons to get you wound up, but it’s done with the best of intentions? But on a serious note, Mark writes really great reviews. They are very detailed and thorough. Mark, I mean you no disrespect when I say you push my buttons. I think you’re awesome.

Most Likely to Put the Fear of God in You

Doc is amazing, but she scares the crap out of me. Have you ever read her profile page? My goodness – there are times I’m afraid to put up a movie review because I don’t know what she may think. I love Doc’s tell it like it is attitude and it shows in her writing. She’s another person who doesn’t really give a crap what others think. When she writes, even if you have no clue about the subject, it’s put into perspective, Doc style, so you get it. She’s a good ally to have on Epinions and when she added me to her WOT, I felt honored. She can also make you laugh with some of the things she says, especially in the "Comments" section. Just don’t get on her bad side. I’d be afraid to see what she’d do then.

Long Lost Friend

Another Terrie on my list. I think she’s awesome. She has a way of writing that comes from the heart and she doesn’t do it for the popularity. She writes because it’s something she loves or believes in. I love to read her write-off contributions, and that’s how I got to know her. If you haven’t read her profile page, she’s got 13 cats. I thought it was a type-o when I saw it, but she really does. She believes in herself and believes in her writing. Not only that, but she’s heard of Prince Edward Island and loves it. She’s another person I’d love to meet someday.

Most Likely to Have Met in a Former Life

I don’t know why, but for some reason I feel as if I know Patti personally. She reminds me of a woman I met a few years ago. She seems like a real outgoing person. Patti is a fellow New Yorker from Long Island and she’s so proud of it. It’s gotta be the New Yawk attitude. Anyone from New York has a certain pride about him or her. Plus she’s a Met fan – God Bless her!!! She writes a lot of great reviews, most of which I can relate to in some sense. But it’s so weird because each time I read one of her reviews, I keep thinking, "Gosh, I feel like I know her."

Well, there it is. These are some awesome writers and if you haven’t read any of their reviews, go read them. Hope you enjoyed reading.

Take care all and happy writing.
