Into Lady Leopard she's transformed. She's both amazing and amazed. Alas, she's vanished into the jungle. I shall write you this prelude To endure, Lady Leopard, to endure….. (just like the rose – as you will recall) to show the promise, the promise -- the kismetic energy and right of action……..to what? The promise of what we can make The promise of what will endure The promise of, the promise of….. The kismetic action of right……..to The future of this prelude, Lady Leopard! If I were a true romantic, I would compare thee to a Summer’s morn (or perhaps) to A Grecian urn - As, you are (classically worthy) Of that compare! But, per chance, allow me a more modest test, Since no grand poet am I. Let me compare thee, instead, To a lithesome, luscious, lady leopard: Who springs forward with intent, Who pursues her prey with abandon, Who corners her quarry with delight, Who pursues her dreams with, Persistence (and) success. And, in return, what does madame desire? I say: the lithesome, luscious, lady leopard Desires no more than (that which) she deserves: A partner to nuzzle her (softly – but, with intent - on the shoulder) A partner in the hunt; (one to protect her, gallantly) A partner to both provoke and console her; A partner to cherish and respect her; A partner to bring Both laughter and tears (to her eyes); A mate to thrill and ravish her (all in due course) The lithesome, luscious, lady leopard Waits patiently…silently…cunningly And motionless on the savannah, Twitching and steeled... Kineticly ready to bound (with alacrity and stealth) for her (most desirable) and perfect of prey -- as is her (natural) wont! The Prelude, as both history and future, The History and future of the prelude. The Prelude, as a kiss, The Kiss, as a prelude. The thrill of the chase -- as prelude, A prelude to the chase -- as a thrill, The chase of the thrill -- as prelude! The dream of the chase -- as prelude, The prelude, as a chase of the dream, The chase of the prelude -- as a dream! The promise of the chase -- as a prelude, A prelude to the promise - as a chase, The chase of the prelude - as a promise! Prelude as Kismet, Kismet as Promise, Promise as Prelude! The promise of this prelude shall endure, Lady Leopard, It shall endure, for as long as, Kismet will allow.  |
