I am sad to say, Cannon Beach gets VERY crowded in the summer. It is one of my VERY favorite towns though and we have a standing 1 week reservation there every year ~ facing Haystack of course :-)
Bandon is a wonderful town, they have some amazing artist there and some of the best pie I have ever eaten! But sadly, I haven't been back in 4 years ~ you have reminded me to go back!!

That's a shame. Although, I did it this past christmas with my brother, so I can't say it was all that enjoyable for me either. I'm still glad I did it though.

I grew up in Oregon and a few years ago when visiting the folks in Portland my husband, kids, and I finally did the complete drive down the coast from Oregon to the Bay Area. Unfortunately, I came down with Pneumonia (no kidding) so the trip wasn't enjoyable for me.
