Pros: it works as indicated
Cons: the device is heavy and the spray doesn't reach everywhere
The Bottom Line: I have to give this an average rating because it works well in my small bath but so-so in my larger one.

| Donnie013's Full Review: Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner |
When I saw the commercials on TV, I thought, Wow, what a great gadget! Naturally, I had to buy it to try it out. While Im not sorry I bought it, I do have mixed emotions.
The Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner isnt as good as the commercials would have you believe IN CERTAIN SHOWERS. Heres my story.
Getting tired of scrubbing the shower, I wanted something that would make this job easier. Not a bit easier, but easier. If I thought I could afford a maid, she would have been my first choice. But, my budget doesnt allow for such a privilege.
Remember I have two full baths. My master bathroom and the guest bath which is a bit smaller.
I knew just what I wanted. According to the commercials, this thing would clean the shower area after each use and make it sparking clean and germ free. Hey, what more could I want, right?
Pro: I liked the idea that the bottom rotates a full 360 degrees and in an upward and downward sweep.
Con: Doesnt reach the top of the showerhead nor does it spray behind itself.
Pro: It hangs from the showerhead for a better position.
Con: It hangs from the showerhead but I find it a bit too low to do much good. Besides, its heavy and while my showerhead is under 10 years old, I cant help but wonder what it might do to older plumbing.
Pro: It does clean part of my shower walls
Con: It doesnt reach my shower shelf or the built in shower seat in the master bath but it does reach the lower shelf in the guest bath.
There are a few pros that cant be argued.
Pro: Comes with 4AA batteries and two 34-ounce refill bottles.
Pro: Each bottle lasts for 21 cleanings
Pro: Makes bathroom smell clean and fresh.
Con: wont clean dry walls. They need to be wet in order for the scrubbing solution to run down and clean them.
Pro: once you press the little blue button, you have 15 seconds to leave the shower area before the rotating head begins to spurt the solution.
The biggest con I can find is that because it doesnt clean the entire tiled area or the floor, I find I still need to step inside and clean it myself.
Now, would I recommend Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner? I would, yes, but before you take my word for it, I would ask that you read the review written by susiewho. I mentioned older plumbing but her friend had another story of an old bathroom.
The final line is that purchasing this product is entirely up to you and the age of your bathroom.
If youre sure your bathroom will hold up to this weighty device and the shower area isnt too large in size, then go for it. Youll enjoy watching the mold and mildew disappear while making your bathroom smell nice.
UPDATE
I have been asked a few questions that were not addressed in this review. This update will answer those questions to the best of my ability.
Q: How would you describe the scent:
A: Like a rainforest - without the musty damp dirt odor.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: about $25 for the initial package (depending on the store) and about $4 for the refill (again, depending on the store)
Q: It looks like it hangs from the shower. Is there any other way to hang it up?
A: No. Not unless you rig some other method yourself.
Q: Do the walls need to be rinsed after this spray does its thing?
A: No.
Q: Does the solution leave the wall "spotty?"
A: No. It dries clean and spot free.
I hope this clears up any confusion about this product.
Thanks for reading.
