Very nice job on the review. Well explained and organized. Very easy to read and understand. You make me glad I didn't refinance. I barely made it through the original closing and I didn't have any problems that I'm aware of. I used to be a realtor too for a short while. I think that just makes us all the more worried because we have had an inside look at these sharks. That's what I used to feel like when I worked with these people; that they were sharks circling. Glad I'm out. Someone from Norwest used to come to our office (Carpenter realtors) and give a seminar. She had a nicer personality than most others. But it's all surface. You are their meal ticket; whatever it takes for them to get their commission. Enjoy your home!

I have been kicking around the idea of refinancing our house so your review was very helpful in letting me know what to look for and expect

er, excuse moi, Wells Fargo, and believe me they ALL have lizard smiles.

I'm glad I'm too old to be concerned about owning a house. If I'd been smart when I was younger . . . but that's another story.

Lots of good information for folks who need it.

Hey, not everybody cares about Norwest mortgage! Actually, I'm quite sure most people don't.

I'm glad you like my cat, though. Kazu is a sweet little doll baby, just barely past kitten age. He likes to sit on my lap when I'm at the computer but that makes it really hard for me to type. His brother, Boo Boo, is a little more reserved affection-wise but also a sweetie. We think Boo Boo must hear voices because he growls into corners for no apparent reason sometimes.

Wouldn't it be nice if this type of thing could fall under the category of "easy?" At least we've learned, despite the frustration of it all, that we have to look out for ourselves because "they" certainly aren't going to! :)

This paralleled my loan on my 2nd house... (Reply to this comment)

Some people (bank people) don't really seem to care that it's your money and future they are in control of and that it's your life savings and happiness getting jerked around. Loan processes should not be painful or stressful. I use to get critisized for wanting a 15 year loan as opposed to a 30. I finally told them I didn't want to pay over $100,000 more in interest, and that shut them up.

Good job on the review!
