I ordered four lamps from Lamps Plus and I had to return two of them. One was a chandelier described as "gold" colored both in the description and in the picture. Quote, "Floradora Collection Six Light Chandelier (87754). Romantic flowers drape this charming gold chandelier." What I received was anything but "gold" in color. It was off-white and green;very ugly. While I had ordered it on-line, I was able to return it to a Lamps Plus store locally for credit, minus shipping. The fact that I had to absorb the shipping cost irritated me since it was their fault not mine. The description and picture should have accurately reflected what the lamp would look like. They had either shipped the wrong color variation of the lamp or the description was totally inaccurate.
Another floor lamp arrived with the shade crushed. I attempted to smooth out the shade but it was beyond repair. The shipping container was totally undamaged and in perfect condition. This told me whoever packed the lamp had shoved the shade down into the container causing the damage. It also had to be returned. Two out of four lamps received with problems, not a good reflection on Lamps Plus. Again returned and again docked the cost of shipping for their mistake.
I highly recommend that you not purchase lamps from Lamps Plus on-line. You are better off buying a lamp at a local store regardless is if is Lamps Plus or someone else. Save yourself a lot of frustration. I was just glad I had a Lamps Plus store in the city where I live so I could return it and obtain immediate credit. Otherwise I would have had to ship it back and wait. There is no reason for either of the problems I encountered.
