After reading a few 'Getting to Know You' lists written in response to sarahlovesadam 's invitation to join in and get to know one another I guess I'll reveal the HORROR that is me... http://www.epinions.com/content_3654459524 So here goes... --------------------------------------------------- Questions: -Birth date: September 17, 1953 -Height: 5'10" -Eye color: Blue -Hair color: Ash blonde -What does your name mean: 'The Huntress' -High school graduation year: 1971 -Favorite relatives: My husband and daughter. My parents when we don't argue but are pleasant to each other. -Summer memory: The freedom and heat of summer when I was a child, carefree and roaming in Miami. Also, days at the beach with my husband. This is an ongoing thing, mind you... -Favorite TV shows: Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Carnavale, Sex In the City (but it is over now). Oh well...I like movies the best anyway. -What's on your mousepad: I've got the BALL kind of mouse so it doesn't use a mousepad. Gives me the pains in my wrist to move the mouse. It's a heavy sucker... -In the car- a/c or windows: My a/c in my car is broken, long ago but a/c ON if it will work (like in my husband's car or daughter's car). It's HOT here where I live. -Do you believe in yourself: Yes. Oh, yes, I do... -Favorite game: Scrabble (but I don't like games really). -Favorite drink: Mango juice, seltzer water, fruit juices, tea sometimes-herbal or Earl Grey. -Favorite food: Feta cheese, vegetables, fruit, Greek food, hummus and baba ghannouj, Italian food, French food, Japanese food, Indian food, everything that is vegetarian. A miriad of bean types. No meat. Humm..I'm hungry... -Favorite colors: Shell pink, turquoise, sea green, ocean blue, grass green, purple, lavender, magenta, every color is great really. -Favorite cigarettes: I quit smoking but Benson and Hedges Menthol Lights were really good. -Favorite sounds: The silence punctuated with the sounds of nature when I am outside alone. -Favorite smell: Ozone after a rain. -Favorite thing to do on a weekend: Spend time with my husband. Go to the beach with him. Talk with my daughter. -Favorite soundtrack: 'Monsoon Wedding' A great movie too. -Where do you see yourself in 10 years: Who knows. I live one day at a time. -First thought in the morning?: Is my husband awake? Shhh, be very quiet... -Do you get motion sickness: No. -Rollercoasters- deadly or exciting: Exciting but they hurt me. -How many rings before you answer the phone: Mostly I don't answer. I am a strict call screener. Only a few people get answered. -Are you a good friend: Yes, I try but I am too often disappointed. -Chocolate or Vanilla cake: Carrot? -What do you drive: 1986 Honda Civic (bought it new). -Do you sleep with a stuffed animal: It changes. A long time ago though when I was young and didn't know any better. -If you could have any occupation when you get older, what would it be: artist (selling my art). -If you could dye your hair one color, what would it be: I've dyed it enough, it can be it's own color now. -If you could have a tattoo, what and where would it be: A porpoise but I don't know where. I love quotes. -Have you ever been in love: Yes, 5 times. With my husband the longest...20 years. -What's on your walls in your room: New Orleans Jazz Fest 1989 poster; painting of Bermuda; painting of a Seascape... -Is the glass half-empty or half-full: Both. -Which do you prefer- Cool Ranch or Nacho Cheese Doritos: Neither...I eat popcorn. -Favorite flavor Snapple: Snapple is gross! Hissss! -Which one, Coke or Pepsi: Neither...NO sodas. -Which kind of milk is your favorite: 2% but I'm cutting down on milk. -If you were to kill someone, which method would you use? I can't take life, no matter how much I would like to sometimes. HA. -Are you a righty, lefty, or ambidextrous: Ambidextrous. -Do you type with your fingers on the right keys: Nope. Forefingers do the job. -When you meet a person of the opposite sex, you notice their: hands then eyes. (That will tell you a lot about them.) -What's under your bed: I'm afraid to look. It'll get me. -What's the best number in the World: 9 -What is your dream car: To not own one. They are a headache. -Who is your biggest love: My husband, who is better as each day goes by. Crush?: Sean Connery but that's lukewarm... -Nickname: I've never had one. People don't give nicknames to someone as mean as I am... -School: University of Southern Mississippi (a hundred years ago). -Bacon Bits Or croutons: Neither. -Favorite Salad Dressing: Olive oil--maybe with a dash of vinegar sometimes. Or lemon or lime juice. -Do you Drink: I don't drink alcohol. It hurts me. -What type of Shampoo/Conditioner: What is on sale at the time. -Have you ever been skinny dipping: Oh yeah, every chance I get. -Do you make fun of people: Yes and I try to NOT do that. It's cruel. -Have you ever been convicted of a crime: That's a secret. -One pillow or two: 3 pillows. It's crucial to get the perfect position to sleep. -Pets: They all died recently. Don't know if I'll be replacing them. Thinking about a medium sized bird to teach it to talk. -Favorite Movies: 'Kundun', 'The Shipping News', 'Safe', 'Roma' 'The Monster' 'Juliet of the Spirits'. I love movies from other countries than the U.S... I watch the STARZ channels the most then the Independent Film channel on satellite. -Favorite type of music: International (World Music), Jazz, Blues, a little of everything except Country. -Hobbies: reading (politics, world events, etc.), walking, swimming, the internet, the arts. Movie watching... -Word or Phrase you overuse: DUH! -Toothpaste: What's on sale at the moment. -Piercing or tattoos: I have pierced ears with 2 holes per ear. -Do you get along with your parents: Sometimes. I try to very much. -Favorite beer: I don't drink alcohol. -Favorite song at the moment: 'Blue Skies'-Cassandra Wilson Sings Standards. (this changes about every three days...) -Most humiliating moment: So many I've blocked them out of my mind. I've stopped feeling embarrassed anymore. -Favorite Holiday: 4th of July  |
