PS - I am a Dyson owner and didn't know about the filters, maybe this is why my Dyson has lost suction. Thanks for adding that tidbit!

I'm curious ... does this vacuum pick up all types of dirt? How does it handle pet hair? Does it work equally well on hard floors as well as carpet?
