not compatible with older Philips audio recorders

It's a pity that Redbook CDR for consumer audio 74 minutes/650
Mb have been discontinued! My Philips CDR 880 doesn't accept
80 minutes/700 Mb CDR for consumer audio. Every time I try to use a 80 minutes audio CDR the calibration test fails (OPC Fail on the display). With 74 minutes/650 Mb for consumer audio : no problems!!!
So just an advice : when you buy new (expensive) stuff : buy enough media - maybe in five years we don't find DVD-R anymore ???
But I think Maxell CDR Audio is a very good and reliable product : only you need a recent CD recorder!
