No one could tell you were shaking Steve. You seemed smooth, suave and composed. I know you directed this to BKM and Petra, but had to respond.

Ooohhh, you didn't notice I was sweating did you? Believe me I was a nervous wreck. I was shaking all right.

And that shaking wasn't from a California Earthquake too! LOL

That sounds good. Though the place had a lot of games, and we got free game tickets, not sure if that is real important. Maybe I'm too old to appreciate?? Don't answer that.

The drive sounds nice!

I'm going to be scouting around here to see what might be a place that would be similar to the set-up you had in the Orange section of "LA."

A place that comes to mind would be Circle Centre Mall in Indianapolis, because it's a connection--by tunnels, garages, catwalks, etc.--of several buildings in downtown Indy.

We might have our own space in one of the hotels to set up our food and drinks and then be free to wander from building to building in climate-controlled comfort.

It's even connected to our State Capitol Building and State House, so that might even convince a certain person to come back this way as well--if he isn't too afraid of being stalked through a series of tunnels under the streets of Indianapolis.

Parking is excellent and reasonable, and transportation for those not driving into the area is pleasant, too.

There are buses running right into the city, and a limit amount of Amtrak trains. And there's great shuttle service from Indianapolis International Airport--or you could rent a car out that way and drive on in.

I'll do some more checking into it when I get the chance!

Thanks for your condolences re: Daddy.

Today--and, if it's nice, Easter Sunday--we're going to be driving WSW to Cunot where his earthly remains are buried.

It's a beautiful day for the drive, albeit a little windy.

Hugs!

Oh, A.J., I'm very sorry to hear about your father. That had to be really difficult.

Maybe they will meet in the middle one of these times, and then they can plan a return to Los Angeles; actually Los Angeles, so those who weren't able to drive that far (Orange County) can make it, and the rest of us can go again. I'm still drooling over the shrimp!

That's right!!!

It would be a shame for him to lose his fantasy about some stalker showing up and chasing him all around the room when he seems to be enjoying it so much!

Actually, I'm hoping to show up at some M&G a.s.a.p.--but the "p" part hasn't happened yet.

In the "real" world, my dad just passed away on February 2, and there are a lot of things to get taken care of around here.

So far, M&G has made its way to both coasts--so, it might be time to have one in the middle somewhere.

Anyway, I'll keep up with future M&Gs and see if any of them happen to be somewhere that it's realistic for me to be at that given time.

Sounds as if this one was a lot of fun--and that Lynus even described it being, in part anyway, a real gas!!!

Cheers!

If there were at least 29 important reasons to make it to the M & G in Los Angeles, you should have found a way to do it. Don't want to lose the fantasy, eh?

Meet & Greet In Anderson, Indiana!!! (Reply to this comment)
by AinsleyJo
We have a restaurant in town (a greasy-spoon) called 29th Street Cafe.

In fact, we have quite a few little hang-outs along 29th Street.

But we don't have any sort of business or street with the name of Nirav so far as I know.

Perhaps, if a building is put up for lease on 29th Street, it could be turned into Nirav's Place or something like that.

Seriously, I'm anxious to find out where we're meeting next, and, if I'm close and available, I'll drop by with bells on and hang around long enough to wear out my welcome!!!

Cheers!

Notice was far, far too brief. My calendar is filled with biz travel weeks in advance, and I was out of town when I heard about it, and out of town when it happened.

I'm hoping we get a lot of lead time before the next one...in LA!

cheers,

sooo... am I getting my ticket?

Of course Criteeker is brilliant. Unlike you, he doesn't spend his time running from one Eps meeting to the other. Neither does he have juvenile fantasies about "territories".

And he's right. Why WOULD we show up anywhere other than a local meeting???? Only you are desperate enough for the attention you get from that.

But just curious ... how do your high school girlie fantasies of the big show-off play out? Free-style rap contest in a karaoke bar? Or would we just get boxing gloves and duke it out, Epinions staff keeping score?

Or is it more something like circling each other for a while, then start spouting off wild barbs with the crowd cheering?

And how does that work in 'your territory'? From the moment we step off the plane, your locals would give us the evil eye from their trailer doors and wild gypsies would jump out from behind jacked-up cars, cursing us and any future offspring?

Showing up at ANY meeting would always be the same: you'd sit with the Epinions staff, since you can't waste a minute of life's time NOT trying to suck up to them, and we'd sit somewhere else talking about everything BUT Epinions.

And then we'd all leave.

Maybe it's the boyband thing ... too much reading about Britney and Justin having a dance-off, so you start having your visions about doing something just as impressive.

Go for it. Wiggle away. Just keep in mind that I simply laughed at Criteeker's comment, and you immediately started ranting about "having balls to come to your territory" - Which pretty much says the reason you didn't show here was cause you didn't have the balls to come to this 'territory'.

So if you want to prove yourself so much more ballsy, send the ticket. I'll be there, no problem. And I'll talk to everybody else cause there's nothing in the world you could possibly have to say that'd be of interest. And THAT is the only reason neither me nor Criteeker would ever pay to be any place you are.

The Last Spaminyoureye (Reply to this comment)

What Mother Superior wrote: Criteeker, your ego is way out of whack. Had I been in the area, I would have attended and smacked your a*ss down.

Golly princess, are you threatening me with physical violence? Geepers - can't wait. Make sure you bring some Epinion cronies with you. You know, the members who kiss the ground you slither over? If I bend over and grab my ankles (much like what some Epinion writers do for you on a daily basis) will you make me scream with utter pleasure? If I like it, will you give me more of what I want? So basically, I have gotten to you. I have made you so enraged with jealousy that you probably call your "sex toy" Criteeker. C'mon, admit it, you have not been on a date with a HUMAN man in some time. You're just pent-up with frustration and feel the need to vent at anyone who can out-debate you. Dear? The next time you're in LA, be SURE to email me so that we can meet and I can get the chance to embarrass you in PERSON - like I do on Epinions. CHECK PLEASE! Oh, by the way, I'll be in New Mexico from May until
December. Does that work for your "schedule?" I hope so, I wouldn't want to miss the chance for you to "slap me down". (hearty chuckle)

You're officially invited to the Midwest Meet and Greet where I will attend. And you? Let's see if you have the balls to show up to my home territory.

Yeah, like I'm going to travel to "Numbnuts, USA" just to meet up with a "female" who makes me ill. Gee, there's money well spent. And no dear, I would NEVER presume to have bigger nads than you. You see, unlike you, I have a REAL life and it doesn't revolve around my social Epinions calendar. Maybe you should invite Tom & Nicole. I hear they're quite fond of you.

The first in Orlando, we weren't given enough time. I had booked my one and only trip to New York that same weekend. I would happily have gone the 100 miles for that one.

Hopefully another time.

But Petra, how about your hotel expenses? That can be costly too. . .

Ah, well, I'm sure that after Kristinah's sinister turf wars, I won't really need a hotel room since my dead body will be dragged through the streets.

However, should we simply engage in some form of creamed-corn wrestling (which she'll undoubtedly win, man-hands down), I can limp home the next day.

So that'll only require one stay in some little motel. See, we all know I can't afford the trip. On the other hand, if Kristinah now claims I'm just not showing up cause I don't have "balls", we'll all have to wonder how she can make that claim if she doesn't offer to provide a ticket and find out for sure.

And, it'd somehow reek of her trying to use the fact that someone else earns less money to make herself look like the "winner" of the challenge.

Oh, wait ... I forgot: that would be just the thing she'd do.

So let's all sit here and wait for Mzzz Spats howling ha ha, I knew you'd find some excuse and scamper off telling herself she has once again proven her superiority.

As for that whole "my home territory" ... you need to quit watching those cheap gang flicks. You're not a member of the crips and your home territory is a few wheat fields, so get over yourself, Mzzzzzz Spats.

Waiting for you to mail me my ticket.

No problem.

However, unlike you, I don't make it my life's obsession to go to every meet all over the country, so since this isn't really some regularly planned gig, and you are inviting me, I'd say go ahead and send me a ticket.

And let me know exactly when, so I can take that time off from work. That'll be my financial contribution.

You can do one of those no-paper tickets that you just reserve at the airport. Let me know where and when to pick it up and I'll be there.

Miami would be a great spot too I bet, Barb! Hmmm, so Jan lusts over 29th too? Heard he had another admirer (I'm slow to catch on sometimes). He's quite a cutie and quite nice. Hope to see him alone sometime (with Petra and maybe others if they like).
