Pros: The storyline, performances by Chiklis and Evans
Cons: The fast movement in surfing scenes with Evans were annoying
The Bottom Line: The Rise of the Silver Surfer is a terrific sequel to the first film. The plot is outstanding and leaves you feeling both sentimental and fulfilled from the action.

| napsat2's Full Review: Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer |
With Victor Von Doom (Julian McMahon) locked away in storage at the finish of the first Fantastic Four big screen flick, the Fantastic Four were living their lives as normally as they could. With endorsements covering their new superhero costumes, fame seemed to be settling with the gang well. Reed (Gruffudd) and Sue (Alba) were planning their dream wedding, hoping all would go as planned.
However, as always, trouble was lurking and the storyline took hold before the first 15 minutes of the film had passed. With Victor Von Doom re-entering the world of the Fantastic Four and the mysterious Silver Surfer wrecking planet Earth, the Four had a lot of work to do.
The action of the film was incredible, never letting viewers down from what they expected of the Fantastic Four. However, the characters were quite believable as "normal" human beings as well, which is always a pro when it comes to the Four.
The performances by Michael Chiklis and Chris Evans were particularly strong. While Gruffudd and Alba did well in their roles, they weren't quite as strong in them as they were in the first film.
The film makers even left plenty of room for a possible third movie to come in the future. The Rise of the Silver Surfer is guaranteed not to disappoint!
