Pros:None.
Cons:Very expensive replacement cartridges, automatic feed wrinkles paper, difficult installation
The Bottom Line: Buy Lexmark if money and quality is of no concern to you.
I bought this unit when it was rated as "The printer for the money" by Cnet, etc. Obviously they're testing methods are different from mine.
All I wanted was a printer that could produce letter quality resumes and decent photos. I got neither. Every time I tried to print a resume on good 25# paper, the ink smeared and rendered a worthless copy. Installation was a pain all it's own. I've never seen a more difficult printer to install than this one.
I have yet to get it to print a photo that I'd be willing to give to someone. I've used every cartridge they make and the quality still is very disappointing. I've seen images printed by HP printers that actually rival a photo lab. You won't get that with this printer. You'll get prints that look fine from a distance...but once you get closer you'll see how poor they are.
YMMV, but mine has been horrible. Maybe I expected more of this printer than it was capable of. I know the hype surrounding it stated it could do much more than I've seen it actually do.
If you are still considering buying one, please email me and buy mine. I'll also send you enough ink to last you for the next 5 years.
