My Extraordinary Life Defining Experience W/O

The Bottom Line Life is what YOU make of it
I concocted this little gem out of thin air, but since I have a story that I deem very worthy to be considered extraordinary I decided to share it with my fellow mates. Then I decided to make this a W/O because I, as well as many of you would probably like to hear some amazing tales about this thing we call life. So without further ado, here is my story:
As far back as I can remember I was the quiet cat, always taking a back seat to the talkers and always shying away from the spotlight. My shyness has affected me in many aspects of my life, especially socially and romantically, although I did go out with women it never got to be serious. Due to this situation my parents decided to get involved and try to set me up with someone, but not just any someone, a Russian girl living in the Ukraine, we decided (reluctantly) to give it a shot since I was born there also. Through letters and phone conversations we got to know one another, however my Russian skills are not up to par so I struggled when talking with her. I was very skeptical anything would happen, my father was more excited at the prospect something might happen, but to please my father and see what happens I decided to fly out there and meet her. I spent a week there with her and started to like her a lot, I even thought I loved her since it was my first time, I was confused and unsure of what could happen. I kept my hopes up because she was a great girl and she was all I knew at the time, in order for us to be together she would have to leave her family behind, come to the U.S., marry me and get her citizenship (which might have been her ulterior motive). This is where the story gets interesting...
During the time between my visit and her arrival I started chatting online, met some interesting people and formed friendships. One of the people I met was a great woman named Natalie who was away in grad school while her husband was far from her. We formed an immediate spark and became great friends. We shared a lot of things in common and we clicked in a great way, we could talk for hours at a time, I never had that. I decided to meet her even though we thought it was not the right thing to do. I had to lie to my parents and she to her husband. We met and fell for one another, but as you all know the situation was extremely difficult, many things were against us, she was married, I was trying to form a relationship with the Russian girl, she lived far away, my parents would disown me, she was Christian and I was Jewish and she would pose a threat to the girl they like. The only thing we had going for us was that we had the world in common and we were falling for one another.
As the Russian girl came I had to make a decision, please my parents and make her happy by marrying her and giving her a citizenship, or go with my heart and try to pursue a relationship with Natalie, it was a tough choice but I wanted what was good for me in the hopes it was the right choice and my parents would grow to like her. I broke the Russian girls heart and she had to go back, but I found out soon after she was married to another so that took the sting off a little. Natalie divorced, moved out to California and got a lucrative job, we moved in 3 years ago, she converted to Judaism and loves it, my parents have grown to like her because she is extraordinary and wonderful, we got married this past November and were expecting our first child in September, life is good and thats my story!
Please share your great stories with me!
