Pros: Customer Service
Cons: dropped calls, lack of signal
The Bottom Line: Overall, I'd say Sprint is better than most services available.

| sonalb's Full Review: Sprint Mobile Phone Service in New York |
I have tried many service providers in the area over the last few years. From Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint to MCI Worldcom. MCI by far was the WORST.
But I feel like I've had the same problem with all of the companies I've tried. Getting calls dropped while in middle of conversation and the inability to get a signal when needed have been the two problems consisten across all the services.
However what makes Sprint stand apart from the rest is its customer service department. There's no wait to talk to someone (with MCI I would wait up to 30 minutes just to talk to a human being!). And the staff is always curteous and friendly. Everytime I've had any problems with dropped calls, Sprint has always checked the number of dropped calls at the end of the month on my account and credited my account accordingly.
This to me is very important when customer service is the only thing that differentiates all these companies. I guess until they build a better infrastructure with more towers, the dropped calls and lack of signal will always be there.
The other thing I like about Sprint is that if you don't want to be locked in to thier plan for a year....you don't have to. You have the option to choose a monthly plan. This is great if you're calling patterns differ from month to month. I do a lot of special events so I tend to increase my plan to include more minutes in the months I know I have an eventt to run.
