Pros:None
Cons:Doesn't work at all, unless in a room that is already very cold.
The Bottom Line: Don't waste your money. Does not cool enough, and is very unreliable.

I've had this unit for 3 years. It worked ok for a year an a half or so, but then the cooling unit started to fail. With no warning, the temperature inside the unit rose to above 65 degrees all the time. Worse, when the unit is not actively cooling, it just shows the set point temperature on its display, so all seems fine with a brief look. When actively cooling, it shows the real temp, which we finally realized was too high. We tried moving it to another (more air conditioned) room, to no avail.

We got a replacement cooling unit (cost $$$, and took roughly 2 months, right in the middle of summer, with thousands of $$ in wine overheating.) They demanded the old compressor back before replacing, even though I was paying $$ for the new unit, so the fridge was completely non-functional during this time.

Now, another year or so later, it's failing in the same way. Another friend of mine has the same unit, and the same problem (he is also on his second cooling unit, which is failing after a year.

In it's defence, the room is warm, probably in the high 70's. But, if it can't cool from 75 to 57, what's the use???

This thing is not worth the time and effort, especially if you have a wine collection that requires long-term aging.

Save your $1k and buy a real wine fridge instead (vinotheque perhaps).
