The Bottom Line No bottom line this time....this one's for the grown and mature. (Leave comments when finished reading)

I don't know what sparked me to do a list like this, but I hope you all enjoy reading this and will leave comments and other kind words about the songs I have picked. So, read on as the sweet sounds of love music begin to hit your "eardrums." And, oh yea, have fun reading this long list.

Disclaimer: I'm only 16, so my knowledge about these types of songs are limited, so please give me a break on that

This is Rudy Valentino, Lovey McGee's replacement for today, and we're back on the Love Connection. Today, we'll be playing a bunch of classic love/sensual songs that are guaranteed to spark the desires of the dormant lusts inside everyone. As usual, occasionally, we'll have people calling in, hopefully being able to set themselves up through the magic of the radio. Nevertheless, let's get this countdown started with the no. 10 selection "Down Low (Nobody Has To Know)". This is for all those brothers who are secretly with someone who is already taken by someone else. Just remember to keep it on the down low, my people.

10. Down Low (Nobody Has To Know) - R. Kelly
This was included on here for the main reason that it gave many people inspiration on how to steal away other people's girls. Yes, I know, I shouldn't be condoning that kind of behavior or condoning this man's music, but I know many of us males out there have been in the situation that R. Kelly finds himself in on this song.

Next up, we have the sensual sounds of Babyface singing his ode to staying truthful on "Never Keeping Secrets". Before we go on commercial break, I want to dedicate this one to those brothers who may have done wrong to their girls and are truly sorry for their transgressions. Don't go anywhere, my listeners

9. Never Keeping Secrets - Babyface
This song struck a chord with me because Babyface sings of being truthful to his girl and telling him all the wrongs that he's done. I wish more of us were like that with our girlfriends, wifeys, and whatnot, because if we keep hurting our women, then they are going to start trusting us less and less....well, I don't want to seem too preachy, so we're going to keep going on this sensual countdown.

Welcome back. We have our first call-in to the Love Connection. Listener, state your name and what you look like.

Caller 1: My name's Ushen Rayson. I'm 6'3, 190-200 lbs full of chocolate for all the lovely females out there. I'm kinda muscular and I have other lovely qualities that other females should and will like.

Rudy Valentino: So, if you have all that, why do you think you don't have anyone right now?

UR: To tell you the truth, I'm kinda shy, humble, and quiet. Not many girls want people like that. They want ones who are outspoken and quick to defend them when they're out and stuff.

RV: Well, there is a special someone for everyone out there. I hope that one special lady was listening to you and will call up here and tell us that she's interested in someone like you. Nevertheless, let's continue the countdown with numbers 8 and 7, "Thin Line Between Love and Hate" and "That's The Way of the World", respectively. I dedicate these to those lovers who feel lost in their relationship. It'll be ok, because true love will prevail.

8. Thin Line Between Love and Hate - The Persuaders
I liked this song because it tells of a story when the singer knows that he messed up, but his girl wouldn't show a single emotion or acted different from usual. The group sings of what possible feelings that the girl may have, which can hurt more than seeing the actual effect, because the singer (or anyone else in this predicament) doesn't really know what's going on in the girl's mind. Yes, I know this technically isn't a love song, but I had to put it on here.

7. That's the Way of the World - Earth, Wind, & Fire
Earth, Wind, & Fire is my favorite group, soul or no soul, because they were trendsetters in singing, dressing, and other factions. Nevertheless, I loved this song because...honestly, I can't say why I loved this song and I still listen to it almost once or twice a week. I just know when the opening lines of "Hearts of fire create long desire/Higher and higher 'til your place on the throne", my day is brightened just for that one moment.

Aww yes, we have the computerized, ahead of its time sounds of "Computer Love". This one is for those select few who don't have real interactions with people outside of the computer domain. I truly feel y'all, because not all of us have the looks, charm, or anything special to land a significant other. It's all good with me, Rudy V. Let the talk-box entertain you while we go on another commercial break

6. Computer Love - Zapp
I'm sure many of you are asking....the few who probably are reading this whole thing...why I didn't include Zapp's more well-known hit Wanna Be Your Man. Well, the reason for that is this song somehow described a relationship that happened over cyberspace, even though the 'net wasn't even created when this song was made. It's still amazing how Zapp apparently took a step in time with this song. And, I haven't even mentioned the creative uses of the talk-box on this hit....

We were going to continue the Love Connection, but apparently, our call-in system is malfunctional, so I'm sorry, listeners, we can't finish that. Nevertheless, this countdown still continues with "Stairway to Heaven". I know many of our listeners can go with this song, because I'm sure love feels like being on a stairway to heaven. This young soul doesn't know much about love, but if it's like this, I wouldn't mind being in lovely bliss with someone special.

5. Stairway to Heaven - The O'Jays
I pretty much covered this song in my Sweet Seduction review, but I'll touch it on a little now. Personally, like Rudy V said above, I haven't totally experienced love, but if it's like the O'Jays described it as, it sounds like it would be fun to be in, I guess. For a little while, this was my favorite love/soul track, but as I got older, the liking I had fo....lol I'm rambling now, so we're going to continue before I lose myself in a far-distant tangent. Nevertheless, let's keep taking this "stairway to heaven" of wonderful soul music.

I feel the love....yes, I do. It's all wonderful and cuddly now, isn't it? I have to say, I see why Lovey loves this job so much. There's nothing like sitting here, listening to all these old classics. When you truly have a love for this kind of music, it's a sort of nirvana sitting here. Nevertheless, the countdown must continue with the Marvin Gaye classic "Let's Get It On" and the jazz/soul culmination "This Masquerade". Let this couplet of songs fill you with so much enrapture while we go on another commercial break

4. Let's Get It On - Marvin Gaye
lol I don't even have to say much about this one because if you have never heard it, you must be living on another planet on under a big rock. Arguably, one of Gaye's most well-known hits, playing of this song virtually guarantees that some lovin' is going on tonight. To keep this short and sweet, if you want something to set the mood, play this song and set aside a day or two, just for the two of you, if you feel me...lol let's keep continuing, because I feel like a fool after all that.

3. This Masquerade - George Benson
This one is more jazz-influenced than soul/love influenced, but I had to include in on here because Benson describes what most couples go through in their relationship: questionings of why they are together. On here, Benson calls all those questionings as being caught in a masquerade (or something being different from what it really is). It's kinda amazing how songs like this made many decades ago can still resonate truths that others, nowadays, can't even realize. But, we're almost done, so keep on reading, because the conclusion is near.

Well, sadly, we have to conclude our listening session. But, I truly enjoyed listening to all these classics with you. I hope that we can do this another time soon. But, I'll leave you with our two last selections, numbers 2 and 1. I'll leave it for you to guess what they are. Just remember to keep the love lasting long. This is Rudy V, signing off, my listeners.

2. Always and Forever - Heatwave
This is the perfect song to cuddle to, slow-dance on, and other love-tinged activities. The slow, sweet beat that underscores the sappy (not to be mean at all) vocals that the lead singer sings arouses such an adoring feeling that it’s almost sickening. However, listening to this song can bring back memories of lost loves, current relationships, and all that good or bad stuff (depends what your prerogative is). I don't know what to say to describe the true beauty of this song. You'll just have to listen to it yourself, I guess. This song should have been number one, since this is my favorite love/soul song, but it was narrowly beat by the following song that is.......................

1. One Call Away - Chingy feat. Jason Weaver
Chingy's dedication to his love and the description of his player image makes for the perfect love song, because you all know that playas are the supreme lovers because they know how to treat all their many females ...Wait, that's not right...Hold on...

1. Nite and Day - Al B. Sure
I know many of you are probably wondering who the hell is Al B. Sure, but I was asking myself the same question until I heard this song in a Chris Rock movie a year ago. (Extra points to the person who knows which movie it was in). I shouldn't like this song too much because of the sometimes-annoying falsetto that he uses but I found myself really loving this song. He perfectly describes the feelings of one who is sprung over a girl (I can sympathize with this, because I was sprung once). There's more I can say about this song, but this list is getting too long.

Well, that's it. I welcome all comments and responses about this list, because I spent hard work, going through a bunch of songs with this subject. Nevertheless, I hope this was an entertaining read. Peace and adios to all my readers.
