Well, I clicked on an offer with a $20 rebate. When I did, it said, "temporarily out of stock". Great...so the product was "back ordered". I got it finally several weeks later when more arrived. But the product had been "updated" and the mail-in-rebate was NOT offered to me! Heck, I never asked for an updated product.
The product, a nice mp3player, froze totally on me twice. I worked for hours with it; first rebooting, then reformatting. Then tried to load my songs again...froze again! Tried to reinstall the firmware...no luck. Called tech support. He instantly said send it back. Sigh.
Called J&R and had to fight for my original mail-in-rebate...it was not offered to me. Then when the lady gave me my RA number, she said the return shipping would be at my expense.
Not a good experience at all. I will not trash J&R online as they eventually agreed to make it right...but I had to argue with them on the phone for 20 minutes.
Yikes....
They should have either told me the product was no longer available (although their ad for it was still running) or they should have given me what was offered without trying to put extra charges and return shipping on me.
