Hey Spongebob (Reply to this comment)

I actually had high hopes and big disappointments in Timeline. I think that Rob Roy would have made a nice addition to the list as well. If you liked Braveheart, Rob Roy was a great film. I think I have to agree with A Knight's Tale and the 13th Warrior as well (all DVDs that I own and watch often).
Great list though,
Scott

That's right Bobman... didn't you get the missive? All Medieval lists henceforth must include A Knight's Tale.
So mote it be.

You left out "A Knights Tale" !!! I love that movie. Great for some good comic relief and music by Queen!

No way! (Reply to this comment)

Leaving aside the quality of "Gladiator," it is clearly set in ancient, not medieval times, I'd argue that "Lord of the Rings" is set outside history though it has a medieval air, but there's no possible way to fit "Gladiator" in the category.
Also the greatest movies set in medieval time are "Ivan the Terrible" and "Ran."
