I ordered and received an IGO chair (model CP-B078-2-MTLK-GG, http://www.bizchair.com/gg-b078-silver.html) from this company over the telephone because BizChair had the best price anywhere. Unfortunately, I was unable to locate a store that carried this chair, so I wasn't able to try the chair out prior to purchasing it. This was a serious mistake on my part.
When the box containing the chair arrived, it was in poor condition, ripped up and damaged with holes in in. They had used the original manufacturer's box with no additional wrapping.
On assembling the chair, it proved to be uncomfortable, limited in adjustability and I believe, falsely advertised with the implication that the arms adjusted up & down, which they don't.
The specifications for the chair are as follows (from the website):
Top Of Arm To Floor: 27'' - 30 1/2'' H
Back Size: 22'' W x 23'' H
Arm Height: 27'' - 30 1/2'' H
Seat Size: 20''W x 21''D
Seat Height: 17'' - 20 1/2'' H
I submit that it appears that the chair arms have a 3 1/2" height adjustment based on the above specifications. However, the arm height doesn't adjust at all. The 3 1/2" difference shown above is actually the height adjustment of the entire chair!
The chair also proved to be very uncomfortable and apparently built for someone who might be at least 5' 10" in height (I am 5' 8"). I say 5' 10" because when sitting in this chair, the back of my knees rested on the hard metal chair frame and I found that the chair back was not adjustable in or out, which would have allowed me to push the back of my knees away from the chair frame. This was most uncomfortable.
I decided that I would return the chair. However, I was unable to fully disassemble the chair and could not get the bottom 2 pieces of the chair to release and separate. Therefore I was unable to return the chair in the original box, as required by the return policy. If the chair bottom cannot be disassembled, then I would have to secure additional boxes and packing materials at my own cost. This in additional to having to pay the shipping cost to me plus the shipping cost back to the company.
I repeatedly communicated with bizchair customer service and a supervisor named Dion, specifically on 1/23, 1/29, 2/2, 2/6 and 2/7/ and 2/92007. Each time I asked for an RMA and help in disassembling the chair. But no one knew how to get the chair apart and I never received an RMA.
Since I was unable to get any help from anyone at Bizchair, since I believe that the chair was falsely advertised and since I would have to purchase additional boxes and packaging materials to return the chair with the bottom still assembled, I asked that I not be charged for the shipping cost out to me in consideration. I would pay the costs to get it back to them just to get rid of this piece of junk.
But I was told by supervisor Dion that she had spoken to the owner of the company a number of times (apparently a Sean Belnick) and he refused to budge on their policy that I MUST pay for their shipping cost to me. Since they wish to stick to their policy, I decided that I would return the favor by invoking the terms of their return policy which is that the chair must be returned in the original packaging. Since that can't be done as I can't get the pieces of the chair separated and they have been unable to provide guidance as to how to accomplish this task, we were at an impasse.
Therefore, I filed a credit dispute with my credit card company and a complaint with their local BBB and am awaiting some form of resolution.
To-date, I have received not received the RMA, a letter or a call from the company since 2/9/2007 when I last left them a message informing them of my actions.
Unless you have tried out a chair and trust that you will get the exact same model you order in good condition from this company, I would stay far away from Bizchair (or any of its aliases)! If anything goes wrong, their sorry excuse for customer service will be of no help and you will have to waste a lot of time taking matters into your own hands. IF you do choose to do business with them, make sure you pay with a credit card.

I had taken my problems with Bizchair to American Express in the form of a dispute. Unfortunately, Amexco standard service proved to be less than helpful, clueless, incompetent, lacking intellectual capability, etc. I usually spend $1-2k/month through Amexco, so I expected to get understanding and someone to fight the good battle against the evil bizchair. I went through 2 rounds of disputes through regular channels over a 4 month period (Feb 2007 to June 2007) and got rejected on my requests for help each time by Amexco disputes. The 2nd time, they had the gall to come back to me and tell me that since the 60 day return period had expired (while Amexco was taking their time processing my dispute), that they couldn't do anything for me.
I was not happy! So I took my complaint with bizchair and Amexco customer service to the Executive Complaints group. Happily, I got an intelligent and helpful person who was flabbergasted when he heard the details, both about bizchair AND the level of service I had received from Amexco. Within 2 days, I had a full credit issued and an agreement that I would take the chair down to Goodwill. We didn't want to hassle with and pay the costs of packing and transporting a heavy chair back to bizchair, allowing them to resell it and profit from it again.
Amexco has had numerous complaints against bizchair and is looking into terminating their business account. This person will also be initiating an internal investigation of the internal people involved in my dispute process with an eye to addressing the obvious problems in this group. Hopefully, this will make future experiences with Amexco disputes easier for others.
