Hi,
Dell didn't pay me anything for my review, it is based on my own personal experience. My goal was to explain a bit of my own understanding regarding Dell desktops to help others making choices.
As to customer service going downhill, well perhaps it has... overall when needed it's been there for me... most of my PC's are purchased from the small business website... and it is possible those who expeience support from the home website get something else...
I'm sad to read this subject is closed, I have no control over which is closed or opened... at the time I wrote this review there was no problem posting it... thus far the review has earned $0.00 with 13 / 218. I stand by the review, though admit Dell is making it a bit harder to find really good deals... perhaps as the economy improves Dell doesn't need to make such great offers to keep volume up (frankly I don't know, just a guess).
I hope at least you found my review somewhat entertaining, and informative.

Dell is great for price points. They however are not and do not care about the customer any longer. What I wonder is how much Dell payed to have this review inserted into a supposedly closed category. You do sound very informative and I have to agree that Dell computers are no.1 for assembly line producers currently.
I would like to add a post comment at epinions to open this category up to individuals who would like to spell out the truth of the current Dell company and its low end service and quality.

Bologna in the DVD drive? That had to drive you nuts...
I enjoyed reading this, and I agree with you. For the economy and mid-level computer you can always get a pre-built system for less than you can build yourself. On the upper (gaming/enthusiast) end, you will definitely not buy a Dell. I honestly do not know how they sell any XPS's at all! If you want that kind of performance (as I do), why would you not build you own customized box and OC it? You get what you want, the performance you want, and probably at a lower price...
