About a half a year ago I needed a new APS camera and went online to search for a good deal. I already knew which model I wanted so all that was left was to find a good deal.
After using several online pricing sites, I noticed that Beach Camera was almost always at or near the top of the list in terms of lowest cost. For my particular camera, they had the lowest overall cost (with tax, & shipping included.)
Their site layout was nice and easy on the eyes. Their site was also very snappy unlike some of the online camera stores I visited. Finding my camera in their store was painless and I was given a very complete description of the camera as well as a picture of my camera. The price was easy to find and there was even a link to camera accessories that proved useful to me. There was also a prevalent IN STOCK indicator that actually proved to be correct. I can't tell you how many online stores screw this up.
I did have an opportunity to contact their customer service to ask a question and received an answer via e-mail that same day.
Checkout was also very easy. It was very easy to add and remove items from the shopping cart. Customer info can be retrieved with a user name and password for returning customers. Shipping options were adequate but seemed a little expensive to me. My camera arrived on time and without incident via FedEx.
Overall, I am very happy with Beach Camera. I would use them again if given the chance. Mind you that my opinion is based on just one experience, but after looking at their site again just now, I don't see anything that would lead me to believe they've changed in any way.
