Like the previous posters, I should have read these reviews before placing an order with The Popcorn Factory.
I placed this order on July 13. My daughter's birthday is July 17 and she is in Massachusetts. After placing the order over the phone, and receiving a confirmatory email from The Popcorn Factory, I found out that their telephone sales rep mishandled my order -- wrong shipping address, not addressed to my daughter and major typos on her birthday card. That same day (7-13), I called their 1-800 number to correct the mistakes. I was assured that the gift and card would be delivered to my daughter in Massachusetts, as early as July 16 and no later than July 17, and that it was being shipped by UPS overnight delivery. The day before my daughter's birthday, I telephoned their 1-800 number and was again assured that it had been shipped and that UPS was going to deliver it to my daughter in Massachusetts. Today, I found out from their 1-800 number that the gift package was sent to me, in New York. Needless to say, I was livid.
I had first tried to place the order on the Popcorn Factory website, but their website evidently could not process the order.
Also, someone named "Julie " is listed as Director of Sales and Service at The Popcorn Factory. Yet no one I spoke with at their switchboard knows who she is, and when I asked for a supervisor to assist me after hearing of their final blunder, there was no one to help me. There seems to be no accountability on their end at all.
This has to be one of the WORST Internet consumer experiences I have ever had. And I hope this is passed on to "Julie," if she really exists.
