The Bottom Line Epinions is here to stay and I want to be a part of it!
I sure wish someone would tell me where I'm going!! I'm always running in too many different directions! I've been trying to sit still more the last week and put in some "quality" time here on Epinions, hence this Write-Off! So here's my submission (to my own write-off): Subject: Epinions....Then and Now...and Where are You Going? Here are the questions: 1. How long have you been a member of Epinions? I've been a member since August 16, 2000. I can't believe it's been that long! I've met some awesome people here!! 2. Which member invited you to join or did you stumble upon the site? I joined at the request of Angie, Epinions ID afdobson. Angie didn't hang around, but I did! I loved the site!! 3. Is there anything you miss about Epinions that has changed and/or no longer in force? I miss the old days, when we got paid for referrals and hits on their epinions also. The payoff was also better per hit way back when. Other than that I do miss some of the members who decided to leave and of course, Mark. I didn't know him but I know he was a great friend to a lot of folks here and I loved his reviews! 4. Who are your Top 3 Epinion members and why? Yeah, I have to agree...this one really puts you on the spot. So, here's mine in no particular order: gaelkm I love her reviews on her travel destinations. She writes thorough reviews with a personal touch! Debbie26 I have always been drawn to Debbie's reviews. She is the mother of triplets and being the mother of twins, I know how limited her time is for Epinions. AliventiAsylum I've been reading and rating Patti's reviews since the day I joined. I'm still trying to understand her obsession with Star Trek (smile). Actually, Patti puts up some great reviews on a variety of subjects. She is also a busy mom with limited time on the site but always finds the time to read, rate and write! And one more...(hey, I CAN break the rules if I want to...): Ladysmom Billie has been a great help to me here. She is always willing and able to help with problems and has great advice too! She posts some awesome reviews too and is a fellow Louisianian! 5. What is your favorite thing about Epinions? It would have to be the friendships made, the general community feeling and the fact that someone is always here to listen to us when we feel the need to rant! 6. What are your goals for the next year here at Epinions? I plan to stay here, of course :) I have 4 years vested in this site! I would like to write more, increase my web of trust members oh, and would love to try a hat on for size one day. 7. If you could change one thing about Epinions, what would it be? Opps, I broke the rules again...couldn't choose just one! I don't like the hidden review feature. I think it is a cop-out avenue for some who want to rate low and not have the gall (thinking another word here...lol) to sign their name. I would like to see good writers paid better. And last but not least to understand the mighty hat selection process. 8. What do you think of the Epinion dolls? Cute or Uglee?? I think they are adorable! I would love to have a set! Can always give them to the pups for toys when you tire of them...hehe. 9. What is your favorite pastime at Epinions...Reading or Writing? I love both! 10. What is your favorite Write-Off and who was it hosted by?? That would have to be Romasuave's What's My Porn Name W/O .
