Well, now that they've finally broken up, I guess I will have to look for an equally funny replacement for that "Even Jesus Hates Creed" T-shirt.
Is it just me, or is the fact that Stapp is working on a song for an album inspired by the Passion of Christ sick and demented? As if he didn't already have a God complex (as you so aptly pointed out)...
Thanks, man...I needed this sh*t today.

Excellent piece, Matt!
Oh lord you nailed it. My favorite part was the last two "quotes" from Nickelback and 3 Doors Down. I was about to say "everything wrong with the music industry" but that would be discounting the sh*t that American Idol and Britney and Timberlake and....okay, everyone.
I need U2 to come out with a new album before 2010.
Great stuff Matt.

this review made me wince. As a fan of Creed I was disappointed with the break up, especially since my band was going to play a show with them in August! One more thing, I don't understand the comparisons to Pearl Jam, I don't think they even sound remotely alike, which is why they don't bother me! But I'm rambling...

Creed BTM: Behind the Breakup (The Director's Cut) (Reply to this comment)
by thevoid99
We talk to Epinions.com music critics thevoid99 straight from his NYC loft about Creed's masterpiece "Weathered":
They definitely said it was going to be like "The Joshua Tree". Hell, it is this generation's "Joshua Tree". Bono told me that because of that album, U2 are considering retirement.
I think it's a great record, me and my girlfriend Scarlett think it's a great record, right honey!
Right!

long live stapp! (Reply to this comment)
by spus025
When my brother broke the news to me this afternoon, I nearly broke into tears...of laughter.
Scott's on his whole 'I'm more powerful than Jesus' trip right now
Word, the whole Passion of Christ thing is a bit ridiculous.
