Congrats to Birdfeather for her 100th review! And for inviting Epinions members to crash her cool write off! Thanks! 1. How long have you been a member of Epinions? Officially since February 2004, but never really started up until April of 2004. So I'd say a few months. I really got hooked when I was on maternity leave for six months but now I don't get to spend much time on Epinions unless its the weekend, when I don't have to get up at 4:30 AM to beat the traffic! I went back to work in May. 2. Which member invited you to join or did you stumble upon the site? I stumbled upon the site by accident. I was looking for some information on a product and wrote my review on the Aprica Milano Slim. Two months later I came back to the site and found that I had actually made some money writing the review. I thought "wow, this is cool" and got hooked ever since. I must give credit to Gr8ful for really encouraging me to stay and write. I wrote the Aprica review OK but didn't do so hot on other reviews and got a lot of "constructive" criticism but the only person at the time who really gave me positive reinforcement was Gr8ful. Thanks man! You rock my world. I never forget a kindness. 3. Is there anything you miss about Epinions that has changed and/or no longer in force? I am too new to know anything else. 4. Who are your Top 3 Epinion members and why? This is a hard one because I like so many members. But if I MUST: Gr8ful because of his kindness to a complete newbie (myself) and his wonderful reviews and his utmost talent as a musician! I consider Gr8ful my very first Epinion friend! I like his reviews about his easy to understand computer jargon, which I find very helpful! Schlamozzel for his big heart and his very sincere writing style. Schlamozzel is very loyal Epinion friend. When I had a flamer on my bogie, Schlamozzel came to my aid! Wow...I was so happy to have him on my side (would not like to be on the other side). Super intelligent with a razor sharp wit! drdevience. I dont' know why I am so drawn to the doc...is it because we both love vampires? Is it because she's such a devil's advocate? A great master debater?? LOL. Who knows. I just love reading her articles and her honest writing style. Just don't smoke around me :-P I also adore dpjohansen, pilarzmom, slarter and everyone on my WOT! 5. What is your favorite thing about Epinions? Not the money, that's for sure...LOL. I love the people here. I actually *miss* everyone, now that I am not on very often. Getting the know the people here is the best thing. 6. What are your goals for the next year here at Epinions? I really wish I had more time. I'd love to write more articles, especially a lot of reviews on anything relating to Halloween = books, costumes, decorations, collectibles, etc. I also like writing about the medical field and upper extremity injuries and disorders. 7. If you could change one thing about Epinions, what would it be? I totally agree with iluvbirds that there are some Epinion leads and advisors that are on a mental power trip of sorts and are too proud of their 'hats'. 8. What do you think of the Epinion dolls? Cute or Uglee? Are we talking about those things that look like M and M's in various colors? I'd like to eat them actually. 9. What is your favorite pastime at Epinions...Reading or Writing? I guess I enjoy reading more now that I don't have the time to write as much lately. 10. What is your favorite Write-Off and who was it hosted by?? I'm new to Epinions so I haven't had much time to participate in a lot of write offs but if I had to choose one, I'd have to say it was Schlamozzel's Surreal Write Offit was just so bizarre and I had a lot of fun doing it!
