On Thursday, June 28th, my family and I drove seven hours to get to the Botcon in Providence. This was the day after they had driven six hours to get me. And we had to drive those same seven hours back on the following Saturday. JUST TO SEE THIS MOVIE. At the end of a long trip, we had a long wait, as I wanted a good seat and they didn't let us in until about 15 minutes before the film. So, seven hour trip plus two hours of listening to my six-year-old whine about having to wait so long and not getting snacks and assorted other crap and it was without a doubt worth every minute of it!! This movie is phenomenal from start to finish. Most of the humor is actually decent (the sector 7 dude could have been removed from the film), the action is without equal, and the story is solid. This movie should appeal to fans and non-fans nearly equally, but anyone who loved the Transformers as a child (or adult) should be overwhelmingly grateful that such a just representation of them has finally made it to the format they deserve. Purists might not like that it deviates from traditional mythos, but the story is still good and is displayed in such an exemplary fashion as to quash any doubts about it's relation to "reality".
