The Bottom Line I would highly recommend Google as a very powerful search engine tool. If it exists on the internet, then Google will find it!

I do topic research often for work and for personal information and I have found that Google is the most powerful search engine tool available out there in cyberspace. Google can easily rival search engine programs I've got on my computer system, such as Copernic, Web Ferret, and SSSpider. In fact, it has come up with results in searches for me which the other programs or popular, frequently used search engines such as Yahoo or Excite have failed to come up with.
My only advice about using Google wisely would be to really try to narrow down exactly what it is you're looking for in your search or you will come up with results that will take hours and hours to sift through. Not that this is a bad thing.
The results Google comes up with are organized from most to least relevant to the words you type into the search engine for it to retrieve. For example, if you're looking for information on a person, it would give you all the references to that person's name first, then perhaps the first name only, then the last name only.
I have yet to come up empty handed (or in this case, empty screened) when looking for something with Google and I would highly recommend it for anyone who is looking for a little "FYI."
