It’s time now for tonight’s Top Ten list: Top Ten Albums That Molded bob_tomato

The Bottom Line Everybody’s gotta start somewhere. I’ve picked 10 albums I latched onto in my formative years, but there's a catch to this particular list...
Ever notice how the Top Ten lists seem to be the more popular items posted on epinions? I considered jumping on the Top Ten Albums bandwagon, but I realized that I hadnt reviewed any of the albums on my list yet, and I needed a strong motivation to write right now (its been nearly two weeks since my last post). I decided to do this the hard way, and with an interesting twist
This particular post is #90 so Im right around the corner from reaching #100 a nice milestone, I must say. Ive been thinking about what I wanted to do for my hundredth post, and I finally decided that I wished to commemorate the occasion by reviewing my absolute favorite rock album of all time. But this leaves out so many other favorites of mine, other albums that I really should review, other opportunities to share the music that has stuck with me for a long time and now, Ive finally figured out what I should do.
Im going to post my first Top Ten list as a series of reviews, counting down from 10 to 1 the list of the albums that I really loved when I first started listening to pop and rock music. And when I reach number one, I will also reach my hundredth review. So, what are the criteria for this list? What is it about the choices Ive made that make these albums special? What can you, my faithful reader, expect from this list? (If youre an unfaithful reader, youll be hearing from my lawyer very soon)
(Insert dramatic music here)
The Criteria
1. The album has meaning to me.
All of these albums have special meaning to me they are all tied to moments I remember vividly, tied to the strange emotions of growing up and everything that goes with that weird process. Its the music I listened to with my school friends. Its the music I shared with my girlfriend (now my lovely wife). Its the music that I could equate with my view of the world at the time. Its the music that appealed to my inner artist and its the music that still moves me.
2. The album is crammed full of excellent music
Each one of these albums has a lot of great music well, at least I think so, and Ill explain why when we reach each milestone. Objectively speaking, a few of these records wont make any critical list of Top Albums of All Time, but its all about me here
3. Its all about me here
Youre just going to have to learn to accept this fact its my party and Ill like what I want to. Feel free at any time to jump in and vigorously disagree with me as you read this series I look forward to your vehement rejections of my particular tastes. (if you want to praise my exceptional taste in the musical arts, I wont object to that either but make it interesting, OK?)
And thats really it three simple criteria for this particular Top Ten list, and a challenge for me to write ten reviews as part of a regular series to keep yall interested (and a shameless attempt at increasing my readership gotta keep those pennies flowing, you know!)
Oh, and one more thing every album happens to be from the eighties
but thats when I was in high school and college and dating and forming my world views and becoming an adult (of sorts) and so on and so on. There are a lot of other albums that I would consider musically superior to some of these choices, but there are no other albums in the world that could ever replace the fondness I have for these particular recordings.
