Deathly Hallows is a fitting end
Written: Jul 23 '07
The Bottom Line: Buy this book. You will not regret it. Even if you are still on book 4 Buy this book.
The final installment of the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, showcases not only J.K. Rowling's amazing talent at being able to bring a fantasy world to life, but also the ultimate triumph of good over evil. I won't give anything away for those of you who might still be working your way through the other 6 books, but I would be remiss not to say expect more than just 2 major deaths. Infact about half way thru the book get up and locate your biggest box of tissues, as the amount of character deaths near the end of the book as well as some happier events will make tissues necessary. As with any good book there are some plot twists that will make you cheer or jeer depending on how you feel about the twists. There are some characters in this book which are spoken of which the reader may need to struggle to think who they are and where they place within the potter series. The good news is that you will not have to think long as the appear early on and generally do not reappear. The reader will even be surpised at how the magical paintings and ghosts of Hogwarts will be used in this installment. We also get introduced to a new character which may not be as lovable as Albus Dumbledore was but will provide Harry, Ron and Hermione with all the same support as if Dumbledore was still alive. All in all this was an excellent end to a wonderful series.
