You will need a neck rub after the "Others"

Many of the opinions that I have read on this movie have compared it to the 6th Sense which, to a point, I will somewhat agree. Both movies deal with ghosts and how the dead perceive themselves but it stops there. I would say that this movie is ‘almost’ as good as 6th sense.

What I liked
The acting was excellent and the scenery was astounding. Nicole Kidman was very good and believable. Much of the movie was very intense, hence the neck/backrub. There were no plot holes that I noticed and the story flowed very well. I also did not notice any ‘down times’ and the movie kept my attention the whole way. I loved how the ending surprised the viewer. Also no nudity and bad language. How refreshing is this?

What I did not like
Ok the husband was a little odd but he fit the character fairly well. The butler could have done a better job.

What ‘others’ are saying
After perusing the “Not Recommended” opinions, may of the respondents agreed that the acting was very well done. I also read that the ending was predictable. Hello? I went and saw the movie with a good friend of mine who is very good and predicting outcomes in movies, much better than myself. He said that he was even stumped and did not see it coming. I just wonder if those people saw the same movie that I did.

Another viewer compared it to ‘Stir of Echoes’ which in his opinion was a much better movie. I saw that one and talk about plot holes. I could write a whole page on that one.

Conclusion
It has been a while since I saw a movie and wanted to keep talking about it way after it ended. The Others is one of those movies that will stay with you long after the curtains close. This is one that I would like to see again.
