I love this service. NO longer do I have the hassle of
driving to the drug store to drop off and pick up my pictures. And I don't have the big expense. With an 8 month old baby, I'm taking A LOT of pictures these days.
The site is so easy to use. You can actually add captions, delete photos, rotate photos, and more...all at once. In other words, you don't have to download picture after picture make changes, then wait for the page to reload. You simply click a button that allows you to see all of your thumbnail photos, then you make the changes you need to make. They also have a free software you can download to crop photos, and fix red-eye.
Essentially, here's how it works: You register (Free). They mail you postage paid plastic envelopes, a page of return address labels which are bar-coded, and a page of bar-coded ID labels for each cartridge of film. (One envelope will hold up to 4 rolls or 1 disposable camera).
Your first 3 rolls are developed for free. As soon as snapfish receives your film, they send you and email telling you so. Then they send you an email telling you that your pictures are ready. You click on a link within that email that takes you directly to your new "album". Once there, you can view your pictures, make changes, share, order enlargements, etc. Every email address you send pics to is automatically saved for your address book, so that next time, there is no need to enter everyone's email address again. I am nuts about this feature. I am able to send pictures of the baby to all of our relatives, and they, in turn, are able to order copies of the pictures directly from snapfish. Being on that end of the transaction is equally as easy, and convenient. I now have convinced several of my family members to use snapfish, so when we send each other pictures, we can simply add them to existing online albums.
But wait, there's more! Snapfish sends you another email letting you know that your prints are in the mail. These prints come packaged in an envelope with your negatives.
Once, snapfish made a mistake in processing my prints. The quality just wasn't good. Returning them was hassle-free and easy.
I am keeping my fingers crossed that this company stays around for a long, long, time.
