Yup, enjoyed reading this one (originality, shmoriginality...who's counting?)! Reminded me of the oh-so-serious essays I wrote for a subject called 'Philosophy and Music' a while back - music's a funny thing in that we both want to feel it on a visceral/emotional level and come to grips with it in a more analytical vein (well, so much is true for those of us who choose to write about music, anyway, I suppose...).

Thanks for the comment FP. I really have been going on a bit too much about this crap though. Time to shut up and write a review I guess!

I totally hear ya. I tend to mentally associate certain songs with certain locations because of where I was the first time I heard them. Somehow, they always take me to that place in my memory every time thereafter. I found myself today at work getting rather emotionally driven by the song "Nobody's Hero" by Rush, and it was just off of my mind replaying the music.

At any rate, I'm glad you had fun writing this. It was fun to read too!
