This was a really cool story. Your little hints and clues just built up the suspense, and then in the room with the shadows...I'm getting the creeps again just thinking about it!

And lovely writing! You do have a way of putting the reader right there with you!
Hmmm...now I'm asking myself...would I put up with the dark, spooky shadows, in exchange for the beautiful unspoiled beaches, the great tropical drinks, the human and inanimate "scenery"....it would be a hard choice to make!
So, the "spirit" made you give up the "spirits." Probably a good thing in the long run, huh? :)
