Pros: High image quality, tripod holds camera well
Cons: The rubber foot base is a poor design, Philips has a better camera available now
The Bottom Line: Great camera, but Philips has made the best webcam in the world (ToUCam Pro), and it's less expensive. So don't buy this camera.

...then get the ToUCam Pro. It's cheaper and better. If you can find it.
The Philips Vesta Pro Scan is a good camera, it works well in all lighting situations if you don't mind fiddling with the camera controls. I rank it within the top 5 of the 30 or so webcams I have tested for my company.
However, Philips is phasing out the Vesta Scan Pro in favor of something better, the ToUCam Pro, which is selling for $70 at staples. Unfortunately, it is difficult to find it for sale anywhere other than staples, and the install software is buggy - it crashed on me midway through the install (fortunately it had already installed the drivers at that point). I expect that Philips will have a better installer soon, so this would still be my webcam of choice, it ranked #1 out of the 30 or so cameras I tested. The image quality is superb, and the framerate is unbelievable.
