The Bottom Line Breaker back in action
With a gun shot wound in his right side Paul Breaker fell against the cardboard box. Lifting himself to his feet he checked his side. Five of his agents were dead and here in London it had been an ambush. The local cops those hired to help them had been sliced and diced and someone had known they were coming. Slowly the wound was starting to heal and he looked over the harbor carefully and could see the demons. Opening his jacket he pulled out the 9mm pistol and checked the clip. There were only five rounds left and he held three other clips. With the demon breaker attached to his back any demon willing to fight him would be dead within a matter of minutes. That didn't hide the silver bullet caught in his side and it would sting for awhile. The kid who shot him was a very poor shot indeed lacking any kind of precision. Yet, the bullet managed to still hurt and he felt like dying. Of, course dying was such an easier thing to do then what it felt like. Crawling away he hid himself inside of an old closet and watched as he could see one of the demons sweep through the room. It completely missed him and carefully he stepped out and snapped his neck. Throwing the demon out the window it got their attention along with the factor he had taken a good knife off the body. A sharp knife rarely used given to new demons for protection and along with super human strength would go against any human. Breaker was not your average human and he knew that putting the knife into his right hand pocket he looked at himself in a broken mirror. Wearing a combat stealth uniform he had pouches inside of the vest, a bullet proof vest behind it, and wearing the pants he blended in. Creeping out of the room he made his way into an old bed room. As the demons went sweeping through the room he found the old trap door to the attic. Opening it he placed a land mine in front of the door as he went upstairs shutting the trap door behind him. Looking around he knew this place was not part of the operation and in the corner he could see a young woman scared. Tears were in her eyes and he walked over to her and felt something was wrong. Standing up with a smile he aimed his pistol at her. Rushing at him it took four shots to take her out of the picture and the demon died. Looking at her he knew it was to easy there were no suvivors. Everything had seemed to have a common settling point in life and everything was now changing for the worse. Running away to a window he could see he broke through it and grabbed onto the roof. Keeping his right hand fresh on the pistol he looked down and watched as the demons on the streets started to regroup they had not seen him yet. Climbing onto the roof carefully he loaded the pistol with another clip and looked down again. Still there except now ten or twelve were inside searching the building out. Rushing across the roof top he started his escape and he knew it would look bad. Except, he would be walking away with his life this time.
Part I
"Who was it?" Breaker asked forcing Sharon's head closer to the wood splitter. "Who set us up?"
"Breaker, the syn... syndicate." She answered looking up with a broken nose and a swelled left eye. "Please, don't kill me."
"If I don't there going to make you wish you were dead with what they'll do."
As she screamed the blood splattered all over the wall and he dropped her body down. The head had been completely destroyed and after that he took a shower in her apartment. Tomorrow a hunter would take the splitter and cover up the crime scene. Walking out of it he enjoyed a smoke and put the pack back into his jean jacket. As he went outside he had made a small fire inside of her living room and covered his tracks. Wearing jeans a jean jacket he fit in well with the crowd and as he heard the sirens in the background he knew knowone had seen him. As he left he knew that the syndicate was going to take several hits and he also knew to avoid it now. Elliot had pulled him out but now with new information from the distract hunter who had sent them out they now had corruption at top and bottom levels of hunting.
