I will never buy from LampsPlus ever again.
First of all, it has generally bothered me that not enough relevant information is stated at the website about the products it is selling. Things such as height, width, what the item is made up of, weight...etc... You had to contact customer help online to just get the simplest of information about a product.
I have learned a lesson recently, thankfully costing us not much money.
I ordered supposed crystal grapes from LampsPlus. It states such at the website.
Once we received them we realized the grapes are actually plastic. After just opening one box (we ordered six of the grapes), I sealed and wrapped the box back up readying it to be returned to LampsPlus.
It cost us almost $15.00 to return the order.
We received the refund a little more than three weeks later but I telephoned LampsPlus & told the customer representative that I thought we should receive back the $15.00 because of false advertisement at their website.
It took about two weeks but I just received an email from someone at LampsPlus stating that "not all crystal looks and feels the same way" (PLEASE!) and so we will not be refunded the amount for shipping.
So, I'll never buy from this company ever again. If you cannot tell the truth about the smallest of items sold, admit a wrong... how can we expect the truth and common courtesy from you if we ever ordered huge items, costing lots more money?
There are many other companies wherein we can buy better items from that have much better customer service.
Thursday, August 30th, 2007: I am updating my review of this problem with Lamps Plus.
Lamps Plus changed the listing at their website for the grapes from "Crystal Purple Grapes" to now "Faux Crystal Purple Grapes".
I also received a telephone call from a woman who is in charge of the customer service area at Lamps Plus.
She not only apologized to me but we have received a check from Lamps Plus reimbursing us the almost $15.00 we spent to return the grapes back to Lamps Plus.
I appreciate Epinions for giving consumers a place to voice their opinions, experiences... about shopping, dealing with different merchants.
Too, I really appreciate the support from those of you who read my review concerning Lamps Plus.
Lastly, thanks Lamps Plus for correcting a wrong.
