Fine list (Reply to this comment)
by ChrisJarmick
You have no qualms about picking quite a few sentimental ones which in this case fits the list just right.
There may be two or three I'd swap but all sound (or silent) choices).

No, I like Ingrid Bergman. Many fine outings - For Whom Bell Tolls, Casablanca, Joan of Arc; what I'm saying is Hitchcock is too contrived and fussy many times although I don't think of him as a hack by any means! Liz and Dick as a war movie? Hmm. Somehow, it fits. Cheers, bud!

I haven't seen "Cloak and Dagger," though it was in my Netflix queue even before your recent review, and is nearing the top.
I think that "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" could be considered for a list of best war movies, so it's OK for you to have reviewed it. Too bad you don't appreciate the great Ingrid Bergman!

As you (Reply to this comment)

are probably aware, I do not have a lot of "romantic" films in my reviews, but I appreciate the mention, bud! I have Ninotchka in my collection and could offer Cloak and Dagger with Gary Cooper & Lilli Palmer as an alternative romantic film to see. Have seen Notorious and thought it was faintly underwhelming. Hitchcock is pretty overrated, in my book. Good choices and nice succint write-up, Steve!

THANK YOU (Reply to this comment)

Thanks for this list. Why? Well, I'm sick and tired of romantic movies. Actually, I hate them. But this is good and unconventional and I like that.
Nice job.
Shelly.
