Use Cricket only if you have no other option!! They are swindlers!!

I have had service through Cricket for just over a year now. I have service through them for one reason only. I have really bad credit. My only other option for wireless service is to pay a ridiculous deposit of about $500 (average) to a major service provider(alltel,t-mobile etc.)
So with no credit check & no deposit I went with Cricket.
I could spend half my day telling you all the ways this company is a nightmare to deal with, but neither of us has all day and there are plenty more bad cricket reviews you've got to get to reading. So I'll just tell you about my most recent dilemma.
I was travelling in California this past spring and wanted to add Cricket travel time to my phone for use on a particular weekend.I called customer disservice and chose the option of $10 for 70 minutes in San Diego. That worked just fine. However, Upon recieving my next bill I noticed I was charged $18. After spending over a half hour on the phone explaining and struggling I was able to have this amount removed. But things in Cricket town were not all well. When the next bill came it had gone up ten dollars! For a nationwide service fee that I never asked for! Now i don't always feel like spending an hour on the phone struggling to set things in order. So I did not deal with this problem until I was in a Cricket store today going through an insurance claim. I won't even get started on that.
Bottom line. if you have poor credit and can't afford the deposit the big name providers require and you simply must have a cell phone then Cricket is here for you.Well really your here for them. There will be confusion and there will be frustration. But, if you are persistent and willing to log on some hours dealing with Cricket customer service from time to time. You've found your wireless home
