I began my search online to buy a label maker -- specifically the Brother PT-2700 -- to organize some things. I saw it on sale at Staples (online and in store) for $50 with mail-in rebate, when it normally retails for $100. Unfortunately, I missed the window for the sale and Staples would only part with it for $99. So, I looked for the same item online and found it at SuperWarehouse for $62 with instant rebate. It wasn't the lowest price online (I think there were 2-3 other websites that sold the item for somewhere between $50-$60), but it was the lowest price from a reputable seller. But it was noteworthy that I still got such a good price when most of the large online retailers -- Amazon, Staples, Office Depot, etc. -- were selling this item for $100 or more.
I placed my order on a late Sunday evening. Unexpectedly, the website offered free ground shipping for my item. I think it was a promotional gift, but it was automatically added when I was going through the checkout. I had no idea how long it would take (but, hey, it's free) and assumed I would receive my item in a week. Imagine my surprise when I saw two boxes at my door on Tuesday morning, two days later. My items were in beautiful shape, shipped quickly, and work fine. I cannot complain.
The website was easy to navigate and offered an array of electronic products (audio, video, software, PCs, notebooks, printers, etc.) to choose from. One nice feature is that when I looked at a product, the website makes purchasing suggestions below it. When I looked at the labelmaker, the website suggested I buy some of the label tape which the Brother PT-2700 uses. Here, too, was a surprise. Where Staples and Amazon sold this label tape (the Brother TZ series) for $18 and above, SuperWarehouse sold it for $8-$12 apiece. That's huge savings! In buying these supplies, I saved above and beyond what I would have spent, even if I had gotten the $50 deal at Staples.
Thanks to Super Warehouse, I'm happily labeling away.
The one thing that I would have possibly changed is that my order arrived in boxes that were more than twice the size of the contents--which slightly offends my environmental conservation sense. But no biggie.
Also, one other note. When you place your order, the website will ask you for your bank's phone number at the checkout. Most other sites only ask for your credit card number and CVC code on the back. But Superwarehouse will also ask for your bank's number to expedite the process. For those of us who do a lot of online shopping and have our credit card numbers memorized, you'll have to dig out the physical credit card for this phone number.
