Thank you. I should note that I had this review finished in April of 2004 and there was a listing for "The Purified" here but I couldn't find it so this is a temporary home for the place. I'll move it later.

I've seen a few of these films, and could never quite grasp the director's intent for location, lighting and sound...now it makes sense. I really enjoyed "Full Frontal" and I still need to go back and watch it again, now knowing the ending of the film. As far as natural lighting goes, I was very impressed with the work done in "The Limey" - they got some marvelous quality of light in many scenes.

I'm all for directors trying to stand up against the evils of pandering to the lowest common denominator - I just have to wonder if all the effort to stay "real" is really worth it, and if it's even feasible...
